摘要: A system for melting snow and ice from paved surfaces consisting of flexible plastic tubing imbedded in the pavement is supplied wit a circulatory liquid heating agent via supply mains beneath the pavement and which feed the tubing through risers located in pits positioned at expansion joints in the pavement. All joints and connections are located in the pits together with freely flexible inlet and outlet sections of the tubing, none of which bridges the expansion joint. The liquid heating agent circulates in closed loop circuits and the system is charged through filling means located in a return line close to the heating source and which includes a check valve located between two access openings.

摘要: A superstructure for a traffic surface is provided, the superstructure including a base layer of a mastic asphalt, and an intermediate layer of a porous asphalt arranged on the base layer, wherein the base layer seals a lower side of the intermediate layer at least in a liquid-tight manner. The superstructure comprises a top layer of a mastic asphalt arranged on the intermediate layer, wherein the top layer seals an upper side of the intermediate layer at least in a liquid-tight manner. The superstructure includes at least one sealing wall of a mastic asphalt arranged on at least one side surface of the intermediate layer, wherein the at least one sealing wall connects the base layer to the top layer and seals the at least one side surface in at least a liquid-tight manner. A method for manufacturing the superstructure is also provided.

摘要: A system for regulating temperature and moisture on a field, while also absorbing an impact force from the field, uses adjacently joined panels positioned beneath the field, and that have sufficient thermal mass to transfer heat between an underlying fluid and the field. The temperature of the fluid regulates the temperature of the field, such that the field can be heated and cooled accordingly. The panels have water exfiltration and infiltration holes to drain moisture buildup from the field, and aeration channels for circulation. An interior region of each panel is defined by tube channels. The tube channel carries at least one fluid tube through the joined panels. The fluid tube carries a fluid having a predetermined temperature. The heat transfers between the fluid and the field through the plurality of panels. The temperature of the fluid can be adjusted to affect the temperature on the field.
