摘要: A synthetic turf system is disclosed. The synthetic turf system comprises a synthetic turf system and a poured-in-place (PIP) rubber subsurface. The PIP rubber subsurface is poured with a mixture of rubber buffing and urethane configured to deliver improved safety, playability, and reduced maintenance requirements for the synthetic turf placed on a playing surface. The PIP rubber subsurface is made with rubber buffings combined with a binder such as polyurethane. The system further comprises a layer of compacted gravel disposed underneath the PIP rubber subsurface configured to allow drainage. The system further comprises a plurality of cooling particle infill to avoid dislodging of infill into athlete's shoes, clothes, eyes, or ears. Further, the infill is substantially free of crumb rubber infill and the system is without the use of added shock pads. Further, the system is configured to maintain a consistent concussion resistance throughout the entire playing surface.

摘要: An underlayment layer is configured to support an artificial turf assembly. The underlayment layer comprises a core with a top side and a bottom side. The top side has a plurality of spaced apart, upwardly oriented projections that define channels suitable for fluid flow along the top side of the core when the underlayment layer is positioned beneath an overlying artificial turf assembly.

摘要: A method and system for providing an artificial turf edge. In one embodiment, the method includes: providing a first layer of base material along a perimeter of the artificial turf area; placing at least one raised border piece on top of the first layer of base material and thereafter securing the at least one raised border piece to the first layer of base material, wherein the at least one raised border piece includes a main wall that extends upwardly and at a predetermined angle away from an external surface adjacent to the artificial turf area; providing a second layer of base material over at least a portion of the first layer of base material, wherein the second layer of base material is confined by the at least one raised border; placing an artificial turf material over the second layer of base material and over the main wall; and securing the artificial turf material to the second layer of base material and the at least one raised border piece, wherein a level of the second layer of base material confined by the at least one raised border piece is higher than a level of the external surface.

摘要: An underlayment layer is configured to support an artificial turf assembly. The underlayment layer comprises plurality of panels, each panel comprising a core with a top side and a bottom side. The top side has a plurality of top projections. The top projections form top side water drainage channels. The panels have edges, with the edges of one panel abutting the edges of adjacent panels, thereby forming a drainage path between adjacent panels. The panel edges have vertical support extensions that extend into the drainage paths between adjacent panels. The vertical support extensions have an upper surface for supporting an artificial turf assembly overlying the turf underlayment layer, and the panel edges having one or more complementary indentations corresponding to vertical support extensions of adjacent panels. When the panels move toward each other, thereby closing drainage paths between adjacent panels, the vertical support extensions are received in the corresponding indentations.

摘要: A grass sports ground is produced by mixing man-made vitreous fibres into soil having relatively high loam levels at a rate in the range 0.5 to 50 parts by weight per 100 parts soil (dry weight), preferably in the presence of moisture to separate the fibres and distribute them among soil particles, and then growing grass. The soil/fibre mixture has desirable moisture management properties as well as good mechanical characteristics providing extended use characteristics even in cold, wet or hot and dry conditions.

摘要: A surface underlayment system and its method of manufacture that is sandwiched between an impact-receiving upper surface and a lower foundation. The energy absorbing system has subassemblies of interconnected modules that cooperate to absorb and distribute impact forces applied thereto. Each module has one or more frustoconical support structures. At least some of the frustoconical support structures have bases that underlie the upper impact-receiving surface such as a golf putting green, a football field, marine decking, and senior living flooring.
