    摘要： A locking device for control cabinet doors has a plate with a depression attached to an outwardly facing side of a door leaf. The pivot lever is positioned in the depression. A projection is connected to a face of the plate facing the door leaf, the projection extending through a cutout of the door leaf past an inwardly facing side of the door leaf. A cap is connected to a free end of the projection, wherein the cap and the projection define a receiving chamber. A lock for locking the pivot lever when folded into the depression is provided. A housing matching the design and size of the lock is provided. The lock is enclosed and secured in the housing. The housing is exchangeably positioned in the receiving chamber. The plate has a receiving opening for providing access to the lock. The receiving opening has a periphery matching the shape of the housing. A forward edge of the housing, in a plane for receiving a key, at an inward side thereof has an inner contour matching the lock and at an outward side thereof has an outer contour matching the receiving opening.

    摘要： A multi-use lock housing and cylinder includes a cylinder of a size and shape such as that typically used in key-in-knob locks. A two-part housing includes an outer housing portion and an inner housing portion, each having a bore and a slot into which the lock cylinder can be fitted. The housing and its associated lock cylinder can be used as a direct replacement for existing rim lock cylinders or mortise lock cylinders. The upper, front portion of the outer housing portion can be enlarged for added strength. The enlarged portion can be provided with a receptacle into which a piece of hardened metal is fitted. An extension having a pair of right-angled slots projects from the rear face of the cylinder and the inner housing. The slots receive driving members in the form of cams or tailpieces such as those commonly used with rim cylinders and mortise cylinders. Additional inner housings of different lengths can be provided for those applications that require mortise cylinders of different lengths. The invention enables virtually any existing rim cylinder or mortise cylinder to be replaced without any factory components, thereby greatly reducing a locksmith's inventory requirements.

    摘要： The limbs of the spring cage overlie portions of the cylindrical lock chassis. Accordingly, a graduated scale, with Arabic numerals aligned therewith, is inscribed on a portion of the chassis which one of the limbs overlies, and the flat, terminal end of the limb is used to indicate a proper door thickness adjustment. The cage is spring-biased away from the chassis, and retained on a projecting shaft by an adjusting nut threadedly engaged with the shaft. By threadedly moving the nut on the shaft, the cage is moved relative to the shaft and concomitantly, the limb terminal end is selectively aligned with a chosen one of the door thickness-indicating scale lines.
