摘要: The present invention provides a multi-mode drive mechanism. The multi-mode drive mechanism may be employed, for example, in a power tool, for driving a chuck supporting an end effector, such as a drill bit or spiral cut bit, for acting on a work surface. For example, when employed in a power tool, the mechanism can generate rotating, reciprocating, or simultaneous rotating and reciprocating motion. Cutting with simultaneous rotational and reciprocating motion lessens the potential for undesired walking or wandering of the cutting bit by actively removing debris from the cut. Additionally, multi-mode drive mechanisms provide increased functionality in a single tool to accommodate a variety of situations and materials. One aspect of the invention provides a multi-mode drive mechanism including: an input shaft, a reciprocating assembly, an output shaft, a reciprocating block, and a shift collar. The input shaft terminates in an input external spur gear.

摘要: A drill includes a housing and a motor having a drive spindle. An output spindle is capable of being rotationally driven by the drive spindle via a torque clutch. The drill further includes a tangential impact mechanism for superimposing tangential impacts onto the output spindle when activated. The tangential impact mechanism includes a sleeve rotatably mounted on the output spindle, and an anvil rotatably mounted onto the output spindle. The sleeve is rotationally driven by the drive spindle via a gear system at a first rotational rate when the torque clutch is not slipping and at a second rotational rate when the torque clutch is slipping.

摘要: A hand-held electric hammer includes a handle arrangement on a tool carrier shank in which a striking mechanism actuated by an electric motor is accommodated and at the lower end of which a tool holder is arranged, which is suitable for receiving a tool attachment in the form of a spade blade, a demolition chisel, or a PVC scraper. The handle arrangement is designed as a T-shaped T-handle seated on the tool carrier shank, so that on both sides of the tool carrier shank there are two handles for both a left and a right hand of a user, whereby in the lower half of the tool carrier shank an additional handle stub is attached protruding in parallel with the T-handle from the tool carrier shank, which allows the electric hammer to be gripped with one hand on the T-handle and with the other hand on the additional handle stub.

摘要: A hand-held knockout driver includes a main housing having a handle portion, a motor positioned within the main housing, a hydraulic assembly driven by the motor and including a reservoir containing hydraulic fluid, a secondary housing coupled to the main housing and defining a bore therein, a working piston moveable within the bore between a rest position and an actuated position, and a work zone defined between the secondary housing and the working piston into which pressurized hydraulic fluid discharged from the hydraulic assembly is received. One unit of fluid is added to the work zone to move the working piston from the rest position to the actuated position. The reservoir has a fill capacity no greater than about 1.5 units of fluid.
