The electronic device includes a processor in communication with the force sensor that uses the signal to alter an operation of the electronic device. In one embodiment, the electronic device is wearable.

摘要: Content on a display user interface of an electronic device, such as a wearable electronic device, can be manipulated using capacitive touch sensors that may be seamlessly integrated into the housing or strap of the electronic device. The capacitive touch sensors can advantageously replace mechanical buttons and other mechanical user interface components, such as a crown, to provide industrial design opportunities not possible with the inclusion of mechanical buttons and mechanical interface components. Moreover, the capacitive touch sensors can enable ambidextrous user interface control of content displayed on a touchscreen without requiring the user to touch the touchscreen. In some examples, content displayed on the touchscreen can be accessed in response to a variety of touch gestures processed by the capacitive touch sensors. The touch gestures can include, for example, single tap, double tap, extended touch, x-y coordinate selection, scrolling, scaling, or the like for manipulating a touchscreen user interface.

摘要: An electronic device includes a case, a manipulation ring disposed on the case, a rotational unit, a waterproof member, and an optical tracking system (OTS) sensor. The rotational unit includes a shaft and a mating member arranged in the second chamber and connected to the shaft. The waterproof member is configured to seal a gap between the second segment and an inner wall of the case defining the thru-hole. The OTS sensor is arranged in the first chamber and is corresponding in position to the first segment.

The carrier has a first surface interior to the electronic device, and a second surface exterior to the electronic device. A set of electrodes is deposited on the exterior surface of the carrier. An additional electrode is operable to be contacted by a finger of a user of the electronic device while the first electrode is positioned against skin of the user. The additional electrode may be positioned on a user-rotatable crown of the electronic device, on a button of the electronic device, or on another surface of the housing of the electronic device. A processor of the electronic device is operable to determine a biological parameter of the user based on voltages at the electrodes. The biological parameter may be an electrocardiogram.
