    摘要: The invention relates to a threshing device for pulse crops, said threshing device being provided with a drum rotatable about its at least substantially horizontally arranged axis of rotation, the surface of said drum being provided with openings. In the interior of the drum there is arranged a main threshing means, which is rotatable about its axis of rotation extending at least substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of the drum, in such a manner that during operation parts of the main threshing means located near the drum surface of the drum move in the same direction as the adjacent part of the drum surface. The main threshing means is furthermore provided with projecting parts which, besides imparting a component of movement of the crop directed towards the interior surface of the drum, also impart a component of movement to the crop in the longitudinal direction of the drum. The main threshing means is arranged above the main threshing means, near a part of the drum surface that moves upwards during operation, while a second auxiliary threshing means is provided, at a level intermediate the longitudinal axis of the first auxiliary threshing means and the longitudinal axis of the main threshing means, whereby the second auxiliary threshing means is arranged near a part of the drum surface that moves downwards during operation.

    摘要: A combine attachment for harvesting radish seeds and the like includes a fixed lower harvesting roll and an upper roll spaced vertically therefrom and mounted for spring-biased movement toward and away from the lower roll. The rolls are spaced a distance sufficient of split seed-containing pods, but not so close as to crush the seeds. The upper and lower rolls are carried by a frame mounted to a forward portion of the combine rearward of a pick-up belt and forward of an auger. The frame is detachably mounted to the frame by fastening means for easy attachment to and detachment from the frame. The split pods are conveyed to a thresher which separates the seeds from the preconditioned pods.

    摘要: In the process of the invention, the onion stalks are cut and the upper ends thereof are agitated prior to drying thereof to effect removal of the seed capsules from the umbels.The apparatus of the invention comprises means for cutting the onion stalks and conveying the upper portions thereof with the umbels thereon into one end of a perforated rotating drum. A beater is coaxially and rotatably supported within the drum to agitate the onion stalk portions and thereby separate the seed capsules from the stalks and umbels. The drum and beater are peferably rotated in the same direction, but can be counter-rotated. Said seed capsules fall through the perforations of the drum into appropriate receiving means and the stalks and other debris are discharged from the other end of the drum.

    摘要: Shelling apparatus for shelling beans, peas, or other legumes, comprises a shelling bin for shelling legumes comprising a wire mesh basket having a cylindrically shaped wire mesh wall with a closed side at one end and an open side at the other end, wherein the open side is adapted to receive the legumes to be shelled from the receiving chute. One wall segment of the cylindrically shaped wire mesh basket comprises a bin door having a length substantially equal to the length of the basket and is hinged to the wall of the cylindrical basket. Longitudinally extending within the basket is a beater comprising a longitudinal shaft rotatable within the basket with a plurality of beaters extending radially from the longitudinal bar along the length of the bar. Situated underneath the basket is transverse conveyor which is designed to remove the trash and shells to a trash removal conveyor. A separating apparatus is provided and comprises a pair of conveyor belts, one situated above the other and each inclined at a different angle from the horizontal. Positioned adjacent the uppermost conveyor and at an end thereof, is a rotatable separating drum having a cylindrical shape. A rotatable brush is positioned adjacent the drum to remove the stems or other particles from the surface of the cylinder. The second conveyor belt positioned under the first conveyor belt is adapted to move smaller articles such as peas directly into a container without the imposition of the separating drum.

Sets of beaters are rotatably mounted to the frame for rotation within the drum. The beaters themselves have swing arms rotatably mounted thereto. Drive means are provided for rotating the drum and the beaters at diverse speeds. A baffle is pivotably mounted to the frame beneath the drum for movement between first and second baffle positions for alternatively deflecting fruit of shelled legumes into a sieve and their hulls into collection bins.
