摘要： A press having a stationary upper bolster and a movable lower bolster carried by two outer and two inner frame plates located near the ends and center of the platens respectively. Through the use of strain gauges measuring the load on the product provided on either sides of each frame plate and servo-operated piston cylinders connected to the lower bolster controlling the output force, a deflection of the lower bolster is made to be parallel to the deflection of the upper bolster so that an equal pressure distribution results in compression therebetween thereby producing a uniform thickness in the product.

摘要： A self-compacting refuse container has a receptacle for refuse, having a top opening. There is a lid adjacent the opening sized to slidably fit within the opening. A hinge connects the lid to the receptacle and permits hinged movement of the lid into the opening or out of the opening. There is a power source for forcibly moving the lid about the hinge into the top opening to compact refuse within the receptacle. Preferably, the container has a release mechanism for releasing the power source to permit hinged movement of the lid away from the opening for emptying refuse from the receptacle.

摘要： An apparatus for closing a ham mold, in which at least one two-part mold, consisting of a container and of a cover that fits loosely into it, is positioned in a chamber that can be vacuumized. The cover can be moved in relation to the container in order to compress a ham that has been placed in the mold. The apparatus is equipped with a compression bridge consisting of a strut, compression springs and a securing arm and is positively or non-positively connected to at least one compresion-medium cylinder that is positioned on one wall of the chamber and forces the parts on the mold into one another. A compression beam is positioned in such a way that it can be raised and lowered on two pressure-medium cylinders and that has two points of compression positioned at a distance along the compression-bridge strut and operates non-positively in conjunction with the compression bridge.

摘要： A platen press, and a method of operating same, for the planar and parallel pressing of particle board and like materials comprises a press bed and a press plate, one of which is movable and is provided with a hydraulic system for developing the pressing force. A pair of spacer bars are provided on the press bed to flank the particle board and a set of bearing cylinders urges the movable press member to clamp the movable member against the spacers, thereby imparting a bend or distortion to the movable press member. According to the invention, this distortion is measured and the measured value is used to operate the main press cylinders to eliminate the distortion and ensure parallel compression of the particle-board mass.

摘要： An improved baling machine for compacting loose waste material, such as paper, cardboard and the like. A pair of hydraulic cylinders, oriented crosswise to one another, when energized, cause a platen to move downward within a cabinet structure to compress the waste material contained therein. Because of the manner in which the hydraulic cylinders are pivotally mounted with respect to the cabinet frame and the movable platen, the force applied to the material to be baled increases as the stroke of the cylinder piston increases. Also, a unique arrangement of platen guide bars, cooperating with guide slots in the cabinet frame, prevent the platen from tipping and binding during the traversal of the platen.

摘要： The subject of the present invention is a power system for a double-acting hydraulic press equipped with power cylinders and plungers whose motion is coupled together, these cylinders with plungers being situated outside of both working zones of the press. Each cylinder and plunger is of a different diameter; i.e., obtained are several different working faces of plungers, and several different displacement volumes. In the effect of such a design a whole series of pressures and press operation frequencies can be obtained in a press under constant parameters of the hydraulic system, namely the pressure and the delivery of the pumped liquid, for selecting in the press the optimum pressures and operation frequencies required for a particular working process. In this way a double-acting press equipped with the invented multi-pressure systems eliiminates the whole series of conventional hydraulic presses.

摘要： The subject of the present invention is a double-acting hydraulic press built with a monolithic frame of a casing type. Fixed slidably within the frame are four columns on which the press platen is rigidly mounted. In this manner there are obtained two working zones of the press: a top and bottom zone, thus eliminating the idle stroke of the press. Both ends of the columns outside of the frame of a casing type are linked together with two plates which are operating jointly with power plungers. The power plungers are working inside the cylinders mounted on the bottom and the top plate of the frame. Such a design ensures a reciprocal reduction of reactions from the cylinder and from the tool, these reactions affecting the frame which in this instance does not show any practical deformation.
