摘要： An assistance mechanism includes a base, a rotatable link, a lifting unit and a power unit which provides power to the lifting unit so that the lifting unit drives the rotatable link. A seat is connected to the rotatable link so that when the rotatable link is activated, the user sitting on the seat is transformed from a sit status into a stand status. This effectively assists the user who does not have sufficient muscle forces to stand up by the assistance mechanism.

摘要： A method and apparatus for transporting a pipeline pig provides a housing having an interior. A jacking mechanism is contained within the housing interior. A carriage is supported by the jacking mechanism for movement between an upper extended and a lower retracted position. The carriage has a concave surface that generally cradles a pipeline pig to be transported. A pulling device on the housing enables a pipeline pig to be pulled from a location that is not on the carriage to a position that is on the carriage. The position that is not on the carriage can be for example a pig trap. As part of the method of the present invention, the pulling device pulls the pig from the pig trap or other location to the carriage and then the carriage is retracted into the housing for transport to a remote location.

The dual purpose linkages are actuated by inflatable fluid springs which provide the substantially horizontal force for raising and lowering the trailer. A safety mechanism is fitted to the trailer to prevent the trailer from hitting ground level in the event that an air spring fails. An adjustable level control is fitted to the trailer to regulate the air pressure in the air springs in order to maintain the platform of the trailer at a predetermined height.

The tool skid may be offloaded from, and loaded onto, the truck, by means of the tool skid handling system, while requiring only a single person to carry out the loading or offloading. Preferably, the tool skid holds all specialized service equipment for carrying out a particular job at a wellsite, for example running a string of casing or other threaded connection tubulars. The tool skid handling system has a hydraulically powered arm with a hook on the end, and enables one person (namely, the driver of the truck) to load and offload the fully loaded tool skid with no additional assistance. Exemplary methods for using the system are also disclosed.
