摘要: A vehicle lowering system is provided having a movable arm that is connected to a vehicle through an upper link and a lower link. The upper and lower links pivot with respect to the vehicle on pivot points on one end and pivot with respect to the arm on pivot points at the opposite end. The spacing of the pivot points and the length of the upper and lower arm create an instant center, about which the movable arm pivots. An actuator is connected to the vehicle on one end and the movable part of the suspension on the opposite end. The actuator is movable between an extended and a retracted position. When the actuator moves between the extended and retracted position, the movable arm moves the vehicle between a raised and a lowered position.

摘要: A bed height adjustment system for adjusting height of a bed of a vehicle includes: an air spring supporting the bed; a valve unit connected to an air tank and configured to adjust height of the air spring by supplying and discharging air; a relay provided with a dump-signal line and a return-signal line each connected to the valve unit; a pressure switch configured to be switched between an ON state and an OFF state based on whether air is supplied from the valve unit; and an indicator that becomes illuminated state when powered when the pressure switch is in the ON state and becomes non-illuminated state when the pressure switch is in the OFF state.

摘要: A tilting trailer is proposed that includes a chassis mounted on an axle that pivots with respect to wheels of the trailer. The trailer includes an articulated drawbar mounted on the axle, the articulated drawbar being mounted so that it is free and sliding with respect to the chassis; and an actuator sliding the articulated drawbar. The articulated drawbar is V-shaped, a first end is fixed to a hitch tongue, a second end is fixed to the axle near a first wheel, and a third end is fixed to the axle near a second wheel.

A cargo area is located above the axle and can be raised and lowered with the axle. When the axle is in the lowered position, a spindle on the axle is located above a part of the frame, allowing the cargo area to be lowered. The cargo area includes an integral ramp that can be raised and lowered.

摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein provide a modular apparatus and system for automatically raising and lowering the deck height of a towed trailer. The embodiment is comprised of a trailer frame to which a drop axle is attached via a dynamic height adjustable means, such as electrically operated air springs. The drop axle may have two or more wheels mounted to opposite ends of the drop axle and attached to the trailer frame via the dynamic height adjustable means. Thus allowing the dynamic height adjustable means to raise and lower the trailer frame above and below the centerline of the wheels, which aids loading and unloading of cargo onto the trailer.

摘要: A lowerable suspension for trailers and other vehicles allows a trailer to be lowered to a deployed position in order to allow easier access to the trailer. A suspension axle is attached to the vehicle frame. A lower swing arm and an upper stop arm are rotatably connected to the suspension axle. A rubber damper pad is connected between the lower swing arm and the upper stop arm to act as a shock absorber during transit. A wheel is rotatably connected to the lower swing arm opposite the suspension axle. The wheel is affixed into a raised or lowered position by inserting a suspension transition pin through the upper stop arm into either a transit pin hole or a deployed pin hole of a suspension transition plate that is affixed to the vehicle frame adjacent. A plurality of jacks assists with raising and lowering the vehicle frame.

摘要: Trailers, such as semi-trailers, having configurations that improve the aerodynamic efficiency thereof are provided. In some examples, aerodynamically configured trailers are provided that maintain standard cargo capacity. To improve the aerodynamic efficiency, the rearward end of the trailer in some embodiments include a downward cant or slope. In use, the rearward cant or slope reduces the low-pressure region that trails the end of the trailer, thereby reducing pressure drag. In accordance with another aspect, to accommodate loading and unloading of the downwardly canting or sloping trailer, examples of the trailers may also be equipped with “sliding trailer axle” and/or extended travel landing gear so as to allow the trailer to interface with standard loading dock heights as well as rampless ground loading/unloading.

摘要: The trailer apparatus of the present invention includes a frame suitable for holding and supporting a livestock implement from a position above the livestock implement and a pair of actuated wheel assemblies which can extend from a retracted position to an extended position to support the livestock implement for transport. Each wheel assembly includes an arm which has a proximate end and a distal end. Each arm of each wheel assembly is pivotably mounted to one of the side members at the proximate of the arm. Each arm of each wheel assembly has a wheel rotatably mounted to the distal end of the arm. An actuator connects between each side member of the frame and the arm of each wheel assembly. The actuators are configured and controlled to extend and retract the wheel assemblies.

摘要: A pneumatic drop frame trailer has lateral wheels connected to the frame by pivotal wheel support arms with airbags between the support arms and frame, a pivotal tongue member with an airbag between the tongue and the frame, a deck having an inclined ramp portion at the rear end, and a control box on the deck containing an air compressor, air storage tank, and associated valves and controls. The wheel airbags and tongue airbag can be inflated or deflated while hitched to a vehicle to raise or lower the frame evenly and horizontally relative to the ground and may also be inflated to provide stiffness or shock absorbing characteristics. When the wheel airbags are deflated, the bottom of the frame is disposed substantially horizontally and very close to the ground surface with the ramp portion substantially flush with the ground surface in a loading and unloading position.
