    摘要: A method and apparatus that uses tha dynamics of chaotic system for the remote generation of a digital key, for use in any encryption algorithm. After initialization, the dynamics of a chaotic system are allowed to generate the 0 and 1 bits of a key bistream. An initialization bistream is transmitted, using conventional transmission technologies, to an identical chaotic system. This chaotic system is driven into synchrony and allow to generate a key bitsream, which is identical to the other bitstream because the chaotic systems have been sychronized.

    摘要: The object of the present invention is to provide various scramble systems and equipments for embodying the scramble systems for omitting unqualified viewers in a pay TV system such as CATV.One of the scramble system according to the present invention is characterized in that a horizontal blanking interval and a video signal interval in at least one specified horizontal scanning line are shifted with respect to the time axis thereof to be transmitted in combination with other horizontal scanning lines in which no shifting operation is conducted. Another scramble system is characterized in that a horizontal line in which a horizontal blanking interval is deleted and the remained video signal interval is shifted within the time interval equal to the thus deleted horizontal blanking interval in addition to the above system. A further scramble system apart from these systems is characterized in that a pedestal part of a specified horizontal scanning line within a vertical blanking interval is compressed with respect to the time axis thereof, whereas a pedestal part of another desired horizontal scanning line within the same field is expanded for a time interval corresponding to the thus compressed pedestal part. And, a still further scramble system is characterized in that an audio signal as well as the video signal is also scrambled.

    摘要: An enciphered facsimile apparatus in which encoded image data is fetched one block at a time, and chained encipherment is executed in a reverse direction, respectively. Upon completion of encipherment, the enciphered image data is read in the reverse direction, and is demodulated to transmit to a network. Meanwhile, on the reception side, the enciphered image data received is fetched one block at a time, and deciphering is effected in the reverse direction. Upon completion of deciphering, decoding is effected in the reverse direction so as to confirm whether or not deciphering has been effected correctly. Thereby, the image data enciphered cannot be readily deciphered by a third party.

In one embodiment, physical unclonable function (PUF) generator includes: a PUF cell array that comprises a plurality of bit cells, wherein each of the plurality of bit cells comprises at least two access transistors, at least one enable transistor, and at least two storage nodes, wherein the at least two storage nodes are pre-configured with substantially the same voltages allowing each of the plurality of bit cells having a first metastable logical state; a PUF control circuit coupled to the PUF cell array, wherein the PUF control circuit is configured to access the plurality of bit cells to determine second logical states by turning on the at least one enable transistor and turning off the at least two access transistors of each of the plurality of bit cells, and based on the second logical states of the plurality of bit cells, to generate a PUF output; and a noise injector coupled to the PUF control circuit and the PUF cell array, wherein the noise injector is configured to create stressed operation conditions to evaluate stability of the plurality of bit cells.
