摘要: A virtual interface application presented in augmented reality (AR) is described for controlling Internet of Things (IoT) products. The virtual interface application enables a user of a portable electronic device to activate a virtual control interface overlay on a display, receive a selection from the user using her hands or feet, and send a control signal to a nearby IoT product which executes an action in accordance with the selection. The virtual control interface is presented on the display as a virtual object in an AR environment. The virtual interface application includes a foot tracking tool for detecting an intersection between the foot location (in the physical environment) and the virtual surface position (in the AR environment). When an intersection is detected, the virtual interface application sends a control signal with instructions to the IoT product.

摘要: Eyewear having electrochromic lenses for controlling a light transmissive property/tinting for a user's eye and a camera. The electrochromic lenses have an eye region for controlling light transmission to a user's eye, and a separate camera region for controlling light transmission to a camera. Two or more electrochromic lenses are provided to independently control the tinting for each of the user's eye, and two or more cameras. The electrochromic lenses comprise of multiple lens layers forming a single stack. Each layer has an opening configured to receive a fill material, such as a dye, such that the fill material can have different chemistries. The displays may also have different dye chemistries to allow for different tint ranges (wavelengths of light passed).

摘要: Systems and methods are described for providing social connection between users of first and second electronic eyewear devices. A first object in an environment of the first user is paired with a second object in a remote environment of the second user to create a communication connection between the first object and the second object. When the first object is within a field of view of the first electronic eyewear device, a communication is sent that invokes a preselected augmented reality (AR) object for display to the second user adjacent the second object when the second object is in the field of view of the second user. When the first object is within the field of view of the first electronic eyewear device for a predetermined duration, a communication may be sent that invokes a snapshot of an object or a user-selected AR object for display to the second user.

摘要: A device having a dual-inverted L antenna (DILA) and an LC tank circuit configured to improve specific absorption rate (SAR) hotspots. The SAR hotspots are split between a first aperture defined between the DILA and a daughter printed circuit board (PCB), and the second aperture defined between the daughter PCB and a battery casing. A main PCB is coupled to battery by a flexible circuit board (FCB). The DILA is configured to radiate RF energy at a first frequency, and the LC tank circuit is configured to radiate RF energy at a second frequency to improve bandwidth.

摘要: Described are virtual AR interfaces for generating a virtual rotational interface for the purpose of controlling connected IoT devices using the inertial measurement unit (IMU) of a portable electronic device. The IMU control application enables a user of a portable electronic device to activate a virtual rotational interface overlay on a display and adjust a feature of a connected IoT product by rotating a portable electronic device. The device IMU moves a slider on the virtual rotational interface. The IMU control application sends a control signal to the IoT product which executes an action in accordance with the slider position. The virtual rotational interface is presented on the display as a virtual object in an AR environment. The IMU control application detects the device orientation (in the physical environment) and in response presents a corresponding slider element on the virtual rotational interface (in the AR environment).
