摘要: A method of decoding viewport bitstreams includes decoding first video content; transmitting, information about (i) a speed of a user's head movement while viewing the first video content and (ii) an available bandwidth; receiving a streaming bitstream that includes (i) a first coded video bitstream having a segment size defined for a viewport based on the available bandwidth and a head speed threshold corresponding to the speed of the user's head movement such that the segment size is inversely proportional to the speed of the user's head movement, the first coded video bitstream having a first resolution, and (ii) a second coded video bitstream having a second resolution corresponding to a background having a constant segment duration or size, the second resolution being lower than the first resolution; and rendering second video content using the first coded video bitstream and the second coded video bitstream.

At the encoding stage one input view (among all the input ones) is selected to convey the viewport dependent light effect and its id is transmitted to the decoder as an extra metadata. 摘要: A virtual wave creation system comprises an eyewear device that includes a frame, a temple connected to a lateral side of the frame, and a depth-capturing camera. Execution of programming by a processor configures the virtual wave creation system to generate, for each of multiple initial depth images, a respective wave image by applying a transformation function that is responsive to a selected input parameter to the initial three-dimensional coordinates. The virtual wave creation system creates a warped wave video including a sequence of the generated warped wave images. The virtual wave creation system presents, via an image display, the warped wave video.

Open source data indicative of the earth's surface may be obtained and combined into grids to create region data to gain a representation of the earth's surface within each grid cell. An image of an environment may be obtained from an unknown camera. Image characteristics may be compared to the region data to determine error between the image characteristics and projections of the region data. A list of lowest error geographic location candidates may be determined and provided to the user.

摘要: Embodiments disclose a real-time surgery method and apparatus for displaying a stereoscopic augmented view of a patient from a static or dynamic viewpoint of the surgeon, which employs real-time three-dimensional surface reconstruction for preoperative and intraoperative image registration. Stereoscopic cameras provide real-time images of the scene including the patient. A stereoscopic video display is used by the surgeon, who sees a graphical representation of the preoperative or intraoperative images blended with the video images in a stereoscopic manner through a see-through display.

A second wide field-of-view image is obtained. A location of the object is identified in the second wide field-of-view image. Using the location of the object, the second wide field-of-view image is partitioned into second facets such that no boundary of any of the second facets overlaps the object. The second facets are then encoded in a compressed bitstream.
