摘要: A training device (10) for training a user in the operation of an auto-injector that dispenses a medicament is described. The training device (10) comprises a housing (13), an actuation assembly (22) located within the housing (13), the actuation assembly (22) comprising a plunger (24) and a guide member (26), the plunger and the guide member defining, and connected by, a complementary first male profile and a first female profile. The plunger (24) is movable with respect to the guide member (26) along a first path defined by at least a portion of the first male or the first female profiles, the plunger (24) moving linearly between a start position and a finish position. The first path extends in a direction non-parallel to the linear movement of the plunger (24).

摘要: The invention relates to a hoist mechanism (20) intended primarily, but not exclusively, for moving a motor driven wheelchair or scooter into and/or out of the load carrying space of a vehicle. The hoist mechanism (20) comprises a lifting arm having, at least in part, a generally U-shaped cross section, and an actuator (28). A mounting point (56) for the actuator (28) is provided within the generally U-shaped cross section. The invention also relates to a stepless adjustment system suitable for use in such a hoist mechanism (20). The adjustment system comprises an inner section (34) received within an outer section (24) in a telescoping arrangement. The outer section (24) comprises first and second body portions (44A, 44B) provided with features for engaging corresponding features (48A, 48B) provided on the inner section (34).

摘要: A top surface of an elevating stand of a pet feeding system defines bowl receptacles into which respective food and water bowls may be removably installed. A first zone of the top surface of the stand includes an upwardly convex ring that laterally surrounds a respective bowl receptacle. A second zone of the top surface of the stand laterally surrounds the first zone, except as interrupted by a finger notch. Each bowl has a peripheral lip with a lower surface formed as a downwardly concave ring that fits over the upwardly convex ring of the stand. An edge of the bowl rests on the second zone at a location below the upper limit of the convex ring. A base of the stand cooperates with upstanding ribs in an elastomeric mat to prevent lateral movement of the stand and to prevent rotation of the stand around the stand center.
