Abstract:
Disclosed are: a structural member for use in an eyeglass which has a super elastic property and shape memory property while retaining an excellent biocompatibility in addition to the fact that it is N-free, and which also has an excellent cold workability; an eyeglass frame containing the structural member; and a process for producing the structural member or eyeglass frame. A structural member for an eyeglass containing a Ti—Nb—Zr alloy which comprises (A) 40 to 75% by weight of Ti, (B) 18 to 30% by weight of Nb, (C) 10 to 30% by weight of Zr and (D) 0.2 to 3.7% by weight of at least one additive metal element selected from the group consisting of Al, In and Ga.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to develop a shape memory and superelastic alloy that does not contain nickel, and has superelasticity and shape memory properties even if being subjected to heat treatment in spite of high biocompatibility, moreover having high cold workability. The Ti—Nb—Zr base alloy is comprising an alloy composition consisting of 40 to 60 wt % Ti, 18 to 30 wt % Nb, 18 to 30 wt % Zr, and 0.77 to 3.7 wt % at least one metal additional element selected from Al, Sn, In and Ga. The Ti—Nb—Zr base alloy is a practical alloy in which the principal components form a strong and dense oxidation film to exhibit high biocompatibility, and also the alloy has superelasticity and shape memory properties, high cold workability, and high low-temperature properties.
Abstract:
A fill detection device for a grass container includes: a detection switch; a pivot sensor that is fastened inside the grass container, that can actuate the detection switch as a result of contact with cut grass, and whose position can be changed between a raised non-detection position and a lowered detection position, the pivot sensor having: a first pressure-sensing surface that faces generally upwardly when the pivot sensor is in the non-detection position; and a second pressure-sensing surface that is linked to the first pressure-sensing surface, and that faces generally substantially rearwardly when the pivot sensor is in the non-detection position.
