摘要: The present invention relates to an image-forming device that comprises a roller that includes a plurality of micromembers. The micromembers are preferably hook or loop-like members made of a compliant material such as plastic or rubber. The micromembers on the roller essentially define a compliant surface, which is self-correcting for unintentional media thickness variations within a print area. The roller is rotational such that when the roller contacts the media the rotational or spinning force is converted to a compressional force, which is sufficient to rupture the microcapsules in the media.

摘要: The invention relates to a color photographic element comprising a red light sensitive layer comprising a cyan dye forming coupler, a green light sensitive layer comprising a magenta dye forming coupler, a blue light sensitive layer comprising a yellow dye forming coupler, wherein said magenta dye forming coupler comprises ##STR1## wherein R.sub.a and R.sub.b independently represent H or a substituent; X is hydrogen or a coupling-off group; and Z.sub.a, Z.sub.b, and Z.sub.c are independently a substituted methine group, .dbd.N--, .dbd.C--, or --NH--, provided that one of either the Z.sub.a --Z.sub.b bond or the Z.sub.b --Z.sub.c bond is a double bond and the other is a single bond, and when the Z.sub.b --Z.sub.c bond is a carbon--carbon double bond, it may form part of an aromatic ring, and at least one of Z.sub.a, Z.sub.b, and Z.sub.c represents a methine group connected to the group R.sub.b, and wherein said blue light sensitive layer is the light sensitive layer nearest the top of the photographic element and contains an emulsion comprising greater than 90 percent silver chloride.

摘要: A method for forming a reservoir for holding ink in an ink tank, the method includes providing a housing; inserting a spring into the housing such that a first end of the spring contacts a back wall of the housing; placing a first surface of a plate against a second end of the spring; bringing a flexible sheet into contact with an edge of a side wall of the housing; welding the flexible sheet to the edge of the side wall of the housing while applying a first level of vacuum between the flexible sheet and the back wall of the housing; and applying heat to the flexible sheet in a region corresponding to the plate while applying a second level of vacuum between the flexible sheet and the back wall of the housing, wherein the second level of vacuum is greater than the first level.
