Abstract: A seat belt routing sensing system for a seat belt of a vehicle is provided. The seat belt includes a latch plate. The seat belt routing sensing system includes a seat belt buckle mounting assembly and a sensor. The seat belt buckle mounting assembly includes a first bracket or a first strap. The first bracket or the first strap is configured to connect to a seat belt buckle. The sensor is attached directly or indirectly to the first bracket, the first strap, or the seat belt buckle and is configured to detect changes in a parameter. The changes are indicative of (i) at least one of a bending moment, a force, an angular position, or an angular movement of the first bracket or first strap, and (ii) routing of the seat belt.

Abstract: A support structure for a vehicle includes a first longitudinal node and a second longitudinal node. The second longitudinal node is disposed rearward of the first longitudinal node along a central longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The first longitudinal node is disposed inboard of the second longitudinal node relative to the central longitudinal axis. A deflector rail is positioned adjacent to the support structure, between the first longitudinal node and the second longitudinal node. The deflector rail is operable to increase a stiffness of the support structure in response to a load applied to a front of the vehicle offset from the central longitudinal axis, and not increase the stiffness of the support structure in response to a load applied to the front of the vehicle that includes the central longitudinal axis.

A control assembly including a housing having a control region, one or more guide surfaces extending from the control region and one or more recessed areas cooperating with the one or more guide surfaces. At least one of the guide surfaces or recessed areas cooperates with at least one switch configured to send a first signal to a controller when a user activates the at least one switch. The controller is configured to generate an activation signal to activate the at least one actuator.

Abstract: A seat assembly includes a seatback having a seatback body and a door pivotally coupled to the seatback body. The seatback defines an internal compartment and an opening leading to the internal compartment.
