Abstract:
The invention relates to novel methods and kits for treating or preventing disease through the administration of random copolymers. The invention also relates to the treatment of autoimmune diseases, such as multiple sclerosis, and to the administration of random copolymers in treatment regimen comprising formulations that are administered at intervals greater than 24 hours, or to sustained release formulations which administer the copolymer over a period greater than 24 hours. The invention further relates to methods for conducting a pharmaceutical business comprising manufacturing, licensing, or distributing kits containing or relating to the formulations or dosing regimens of random copolymer described herein.
Abstract:
A data-driven, hierarchical information navigation system and method enable search of sets of documents or other materials by certain common attributes that characterize the materials. The invention includes several aspects of a data-driven, hierarchical navigation system that employs this navigation mode. The navigation system of the present invention includes features of an interface, a knowledge base and a taxonomy definition process and a classification process for generating the knowledge base, a graph-based navigable data structure and method for generating the data structure, World Wide Web-based applications of the system, and methods of implementing the system. Users are able to search or browse a particular collection of documents by selecting desired values for the attributes. A data-driven, hierarchical information navigation system and method enable this navigation mode by associating terms with the materials, defining a set of hierarchical relationships among the terms, and providing a guided search mechanism based on the relationship between the terms.

Abstract:
A virtual electronic back-up alignment apparatus that consists of a housing that provides a means for fixedly securing a light emitting source parallel to a vehicle and a means for activating the light emitting source and generating a light beam. A free rotating mirror assembly receives the light beam from the light emitting source and reflects the light beam into a directional guideline towards the trailer forming a virtual tow point for enabling the user to obtain the perfect alignment of the vehicle hitch to the trailer tow hitch. The free rotating mirror assembly comprises an orientation balancer, a mirror, and a pair of wheels encapsulated within a hollow, transparent tube secured to the housing for maintaining a parallel orientation between the light emitting source and the alignment point on the trailer.
Abstract:
An electronic system has a power supply, multiple backplanes, and a bus bar assembly electrically interconnected between the power supply and the multiple backplanes. The bus bar assembly includes a power supply member that couples to a power supply and a backplane member that couples simultaneously to multiple backplanes. The backplane member defines multiple rows of holes. Each row of holes includes at least two holes. The bus bar assembly further includes a set of fasteners that fasten the power supply member to the backplane member in order to provide a conductive path between the power supply and the multiple backplanes. The multiple rows of holes defined by the backplane member enable the backplane member to fasten to power supply members having different designs for flexibility.
Abstract:
A toy airplane assembly is provided that is easy to fly, inexpensive, and durable. The toy plane assembly includes a plane having a radio receiver and a microprocessor. Batteries housed in the fuselage power the printed circuit board to which the microprocessor and radio receiver are attached. The radio receiver receives signals from a hand-held remote control radio transmitter and are transmitted to the microprocessor. The microprocessor decodes the signals and, in response thereto, distributes power to the motors for driving the propellers. All movement of the plane is controlled by the microprocessor, thereby providing microprocessor assisted flight. The plane fuselage is a one-piece molded part, made of a foam material to provide a durable plane.
Abstract:
A system and a method of powering an external device with a vehicular battery system allow a user to charge electrically-powered devices with the electrical power source of his or her vehicle. The system includes an electrically-driven vehicle which includes a high-voltage battery. The system further includes a power modifier, an auxiliary battery, at least one external device, at least one on/off relay, and a user controller. The power modifier modifies the high-voltage DC drawn from the high-voltage battery to safely charge the auxiliary battery. The auxiliary battery stores electrical power. The external device may be any electrically-powered device. The on/off relay allows a user to turn the system on or off when desired. The user controller is communicably coupled to the on/off relay through a relay wireless communication module. The user controller allows a user to remotely operate the on/off relay and, thus, remotely turn the system on or off.
Abstract:
A system and method of powering an external device with a vehicular battery system allows a user to charge electrically-powered devices with the electrical power source of his or her vehicle. The system includes an electrically-driven vehicle which includes a high-voltage battery. The high voltage battery includes a pair of contactors and is contained within a battery casing. The system further includes a junction box which includes an input derived from the pair of contactors, an external output for off-vehicle charging, and an internal output for on-vehicle charging. The system further includes a power modifier, an auxiliary low-voltage battery and at least one external device. The auxiliary low-voltage battery is electrically connected to the high-voltage battery through the junction box and the power modifier. Thus, the auxiliary low-voltage battery is safely charged by the high-voltage battery. The auxiliary low-voltage battery can then be used to power the external device.
