摘要： When traveling to a destination reported in a television broadcast or the like, the user has had to make a memo while watching the television and, when actually traveling by car, the user has had to enter necessary information into an in-vehicle terminal by looking at the memo. A broadcast provider broadcasts a travel program together with travel destination information related to it, and a television terminal presents the received broadcast and travel destination information to the user. If the user desires to travel to the destination thus presented, the television terminal downloads the received travel destination information into a memory card. When the user goes out by car at a later date, the in-vehicle information terminal acquires the travel destination information from the memory card, a route setting section sets the route by using travel destination location information contained in the travel destination information, and a communication section acquires real-time information by using a method of connection to a real-time information having the travel destination information.

摘要： To provide a dialog supporting apparatus which can support an on-going dialog so that the dialog is smoothly completed irrespective of who the other party in the dialog. The dialog supporting apparatus 100 includes: an utterance receiving unit 101 which receives an utterance of a dialog participant and outputs utterance information for identifying the utterance; an utterance processing unit 102 which translates the utterance identified by the utterance information into the other utterance form; an utterance output unit 103 which outputs the translated utterance information which is the utterance to the other dialog participant; a dialog history database 104 storing dialog histories, each of which includes two or more pieces of past utterance information of the dialog participant which are placed in time sequence; an utterance prediction unit 105 which generates a first utterance prediction information, based on the dialog history, obtains a second utterance prediction information from the other dialog supporting apparatus, and predicts the next utterance of the dialog participant who uses the dialog supporting apparatus 100, based on the first utterance prediction information and the second utterance prediction information.

摘要： A speech interpreting device. Speech is input in a first language. The input speech is recognized. One or more word strings of the first language are extracted and displayed. The word strings correspond to a result of the speech recognition. A word string is selected from the displayed word strings. The selected word string is expected to become an object of conversation to a second language. When a whole or a part of the selected word string is specified, candidates of a term which corresponds to contents of the specified whole or part of the selected word string are extracted and displayed. One of the displayed candidates is selected. The selected word string is converted to a second language.

摘要： The present invention provides a dialogue supporting apparatus that can easily select a desired sample sentence from among candidate-sample sentences corresponding to inputted speech. The dialogue supporting apparatus includes: a speech recognition unit which performs continuous speech recognition of the inputted speech; a database unit having a sample sentence database which holds the correspondence of sample sentences of a source language and a target language; a sample sentence selection unit which selects one or more sample sentences from within the sample sentence database, according to a speech recognition result or operation of a GUI unit; a sample sentence comparison unit which (i) compares the one or more sample sentences selected by the sample sentence selection unit and the speech recognition result, (ii) calculates word scores from an appearance location of the words, and (iii) derives a display parameter for each word of each sample sentence, based on the word scores; and the GUI unit which performs the display of a sample sentence based on the display parameter.
