    摘要: The present invention discloses an ink-jet recording material having a support and at least two ink-receptive layers containing inorganic fine particles and a hydrophilic binder, which comprises an ink-receptive layer A nearer to the support containing precipitated silica fine particles having an average secondary particle diameter 500 nm or less, or precipitated silica fine particles having an average secondary particle diameter 500 nm or less and fumed silica fine particles having an average secondary particle diameter 500 nm or less, and containing less than 20 parts by weight of a polyvinyl alcohol based on 100 parts by weight of the whole silica fine particles in the ink-receptive layer A, and an ink-receptive layer B farther from the support containing at least one kind of fine particles selected from fumed silica, alumina and alumina hydrate and less than 25 parts by weight of a polyvinyl alcohol based on 100 parts by weight of the fine particles.

    摘要: A 2,6-dichlorophenol compound of formula (1): wherein R represents a 3,3-dihalo-2-propenyl group or a benzyl group optionally substituted by halogen atom(s), can be produced by making a phenol compound of formula (2): wherein R has the same meaning mentioned above, react with sulfuryl chloride in the presence of a secondary amine in high yield. The obtained 2,6-dichlorophenol compound of formula (1) is useful as intermediate for producing dihalopropene compounds having insecticidal/acaricidal activity.

    摘要: Disclosed are a method of solidifying a low-boiling-point hydrocarbon, wherein the low-boiling-point hydrocarbon (including hydrocarbons which are gaseous at ordinary temperature) is brought into contact with a metal salt of an aliphatic carboxylic acid, and if necessary a high-boiling-point hydrocarbon, suspended in water, to form a solid aggregate substance, a method of handling the low-boiling-point hydrocarbon, wherein the solid aggregate substance is stored or transported, and a method of regenerating the low-boiling-point hydrocarbon, wherein the solid aggregate substance is decomposed by opening or heating, to obtain the low-boiling-point hydrocarbon. According to the methods, a wide variety of gaseous and highly volatile liquid hydrocarbons can be safely and easily solidified without using harmful reagent, and during storage, transportation, etc., the gaseous hydrocarbons and highly volatile liquids can be handled as a solid material. Further, by releasing under atmospheric pressure at room temperature or by heating if necessary, the original hydrocarbons can be easily obtained.

    摘要: A stand-by mode setting/releasing device is provided for a video cassette recorder (VCR). When the attachment of the video cassette to a video cassette recorder (VCR) is terminated, a microcomputer drives a cylinder motor immediately to execute tape loading. In the stop state, with the tape loading completed, cylinder rotation is continued for 5 minutes without tensioning the tape and cylinder rotation is terminated after a lapse of the 5 minutes. In this manner, other modes in the stop mode can be set quickly, while power consumption is also avoided. When there is no necessity of maintaining channel selection at the VCR tuner, tape loading and power turn-off may be executed after a lapse of the five-minute period to further reduce the power consumption.
