    摘要: In a wireless communication system in which a user using a mobile equipment requests a serving cell handoff from a source cell to a target cell, the mobile equipment monitors authorization for the handoff from the target cell. At the same time, the mobile equipment can decode data from either the source cell or the target cell. Upon receipt of authorization for the handoff, the mobile equipment sends confirmation of the handoff to the target cell.

    摘要: A system and method for optimizing robust header compression between a compressor (residing at AN/AT) and a decompressor (residing at AT/AN), the method comprising initializing the compressor with an estimated jitter value before the compressor; notifying the decompressor of the estimated jitter value before the compressor; estimating various threshold limits at the decompressor based on the sum of the jitter between the compressor and the decompressor (JITTER_CD) and that before the compressor (JITTER_BC); the decompressor sending a JITTER option whenever the threshold limits are exceeded; and the compressor adjusting a packet size in response the received JITTER option. The estimated jitter value before the compressor may be based on simulations or channel characteristics. Notification to the decompressor of the jitter value before the compressor may be achieved by signaling or hard-coding a same value at the compressor and the decompressor.

    摘要: The invention relates to interpreting the change in the increment of the RTP TS field as occurring either due to silence suppression for a voice flow or a change in sampling/frame rate of a video flow. By interpreting this change correctly, the value of the TS_STRIDE field in robust header compression may be correctly calculated leading to efficient header compression performance. In one aspect, there is disclosed a method of improving ROHC between an Access Network (AN) having a compressor and an Access Terminal (AT) having a decompressor, comprising providing flow information to the compressor relating to a change in the increment of an RTP TS field of a header; determining the change in the increment of an RTP TS field as occurring either due to silence suppression or due to a change in a sampling/frame rate; and taking appropriate action for TS_STRIDE.

    摘要: Gathering tenant usage data of server resources. A method includes a server in a cluster providing server resources for one or more tenants of the server. Data is stored in a local usage cache at the server. The data characterizes the resources provided to the one or more tenants of the server. At the server, data stored in the local usage cache is aggregated on a tenant basis, such that data is aggregated for given tenants. The aggregated data is sent to a distributed cache. At the server, aggregated data from other servers in the cluster is received from the distributed cache. The aggregated data from other servers in the cluster is globally aggregated and stored at an aggregated usage cache at the server in the globally aggregated form.
