Abstract:
In one aspect of the invention, a system and method are provided for associating multi-media data with an electronic document. A first document editing software application opens a second multi-media capture application. The first application provides the second application with file names and a file system location at which to store created data files. A user uses the multi-media capture application to capture or create multi-media data. The second application then creates files including the multi-media data using the file names provided by the first application. The second application stores the files at the file system location provided by the first application. Because the first application provided the file names and file system location of the multi-media data to the second application, the first application may easily determine where the data is stored. The first application may then retrieve the data from this location to display to the user.
Abstract:
A lens assembly includes, in order from an object side to an image side: a first lens; a first meniscus lens in optical communication with the first lens; a second meniscus lens in optical communication with the first meniscus lens; an aperture stop in optical communication with the second meniscus lens; a fourth lens in optical communication with the aperture stop; and a bi-convex lens in optical communication with the fourth lens. The lens assembly is a four group, five element, lens assembly that is constructed so that at least one of the lenses may be replaced without also requiring the other lenses in the assembly to be significantly changed, resulting in a “flexible” construction. The lens assembly may be adapted to provide a field of view of approximately 15 degrees; approximately 0% vignetting within the field of view; and a distortion of the image of less than approximately 1%. Multiple lens assemblies and detectors may be provided in a single housing.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and system for optimizing the time required for scanning a document with any conventional scanner. More specifically, the present invention will utilize calibration information from the initial power-up calibration or any other calibration, and the information from any previous scans to expedite or eliminate the need for future calibration requests. This process will save time for the user to obtain an optimal scan and increase the operable life span of the scanner by eliminating many repetitive scan cycles.
Abstract:
The travel trailer includes a chassis having wheels and a trailer body attached to the chassis. The trailer body includes sidewalls, a front end wall, a rear end wall, a roof, and a floor. The sidewalls, end walls, roof, and floor form an internal living space of the trailer body. A slide-out area is slidably extendable outward from the trailer body. The slide-out area is extendable from a retracted position received substantially within the trailer body to an extended position extended outward from the trailer body. The slide-out area has a roof, sidewalls, a bottom wall, and a front end wall. The front end wall of the slide-out areas is adapted to seal against the trailer body in the retracted position.
Abstract:
A device for generating fire flame in the form of a pre-determined, two-dimensional graphic image is disclosed. The device has the general shape of a container and lid. A volume of combustible fuel is disposed within the container, and covered by a panel of flame-resistant material. The cover panel is perforated with holes arranged as a set of vector paths, which together for a graphic image. Wicking material is stitched along the perforated vector paths, and contacted with the fuel below, to created a candle-like apparatus for displaying images made up of curvilinear flame segments.
Abstract:
A method of synthesizing an ionic liquid, includes reacting a 1,2,3-triazole including at least one of a 4-substituent or a 5-substituent with a hydroxide compound having the formula R+OH− in a dehydration reaction, wherein R+ is an ionic liquid cation. R+ is a five-membered heterocyclic cation, an aromatic cation, a sulfonium cation, an ammonium cation, or a phosphonium cation. In a number of embodiments, R+ is a pyridinium cation, a bipyridinium cation, an amino pyridinium cation, a pyridazinium cation, an ozaxolium cation, a pyrazolium cation, an imidazolium cation, a pyramidinium cation, a triazolium cation, a thiazolium cation, an acridinium cation, a quinolinium cation, an isoquinolinium cation, an orange-acridinium cation, a benzotriazolium cation, a methimzolium cation, a sulfonium cation, an ammonium cation, or a phosphonium cation.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for managing media content in accordance with various embodiments of the present invention are provided. A future time is identified during which a mobile device access to a network will be limited. Media content is automatically selected for transmission to the mobile device based on an environment of the mobile device at the future time. The selected content is transmitted to the mobile device for storage in a memory of the mobile device. In some embodiments, media content may be automatically selected from a media content queue for transmission to the mobile device. The selected content may be transmitted without receiving a request from the mobile device.
Abstract:
A bipolar plate for a fuel cell includes a pair of plates. Each plate has an active area, a header area, and a perimeter area. The perimeter area is disposed adjacent an edge of the plate. The perimeter area is also disposed adjacent to each of the active area and the header area. At least one of the plates includes a raised support feature having an inboard side and an outboard side. The plates are joined in the perimeter area between the outboard side of the raised support feature and the edges of the plates.
