摘要: A metal laminate gasket for an internal combustion engine is formed by a first metal plate having a first hole corresponding to a hole of the engine, and a bore ring and a second metal plate both being disposed under the first metal plate. The bore ring has a second hole corresponding to the first hole, and at least two first engaging members formed around an outer periphery thereof with a predetermined distance away from each other. The second metal plate includes a third hole having a size for receiving the outer periphery of the bore ring, and at least two second engaging members formed around an inner periphery thereof to engage the at least two first engaging members. The first and second engaging members are arranged such that the bore ring can be positioned and retained in the second metal plate in only one position even if the bore ring is positioned upside down.

摘要: The present invention provides a MIM type non-linear element in which the capacitance is sufficiently small and in which little changes over time are exhibited in the current-voltage characteristics, a liquid crystal display panel with high image quality using the MIM type non-linear element, and a method of manufacturing the MIM type non-linear element. The MIM type non-linear element includes a first conductive film, an insulation film and a second conductive film, which are laminated on a substrate. The insulation film has a relative dielectric constant of 25.5 or less, preferably 24.0-25.5. In elementary analysis by SIMS, a hydrogen spectrum of the boundary region between the first conductive film and the insulation film has a width of 10 nm or more in the depth direction at an intensity of one tenth of the peak intensity. The first conductive film of the MIM type non-linear element shows a peak temperature of 300° C. or higher in a thermal desorption spectroscopy of hydrogen. The MIM type non-linear element is manufactured by, for example, a method containing the steps of (a) forming the first conductive film, (b) heat-treating the first conductive film at a temperature of 300° C. or higher in an inert gas, (c) forming the insulation film on the surface of the first conductive film by anodization of the first conductive film, and (d) forming the second conductive film on the surface of the insulation film.

摘要: An array antenna apparatus for use in spread spectrum communications is provided including a plurality of antenna elements aligned on a straight line. The array antenna apparatus is used in a receiving station for receiving spread-spectrum modulated radio signals having a wavelength of a predetermined carrier frequency transmitted from transmitting stations using a two-dimensional RAKE receiving method, and for performing spread spectrum communications in code division multiple access. The plurality of antenna elements are aligned such that an interval between antenna elements adjacent to each other among the plurality of antenna elements is set to a value which is larger than one half the wavelength of the carrier frequency and which is equal to or smaller than sixteen times the wavelength of the carrier frequency so as to generate grating lobes. In this case, the interval is preferably set to a value which is an integer or fractional (decimal) multiple of one half the wavelength of the carrier frequency which is greater than unity.

摘要: A pair of guide grooves are formed to extend parallel with each other on an outer surface of a housing of an electronic image pickup apparatus with a lens opening interposed therebetween. A lens barrier has both end portions engaged with the paired guide grooves and is movable between a close position for closing the lens opening and an open position for opening the lens opening while both end portions are guided by the guide grooves. One of the guide grooves opens in a cross direction crossing a front direction to which a front surface area, in which the lens opening is formed, on the outer surface of the housing, is directed, and the other of the guide grooves opens in the front direction on the outer surface of the housing. One of the end portions of the lens barrier corresponding to the one guide groove is inserted into and engaged with the one guide groove to be slidable along the one guide groove, and the other of the end portions of the lens barrier corresponding to the other guide groove is inserted into and engaged with the other guide groove to be slidable along the other guide groove. A separation protection member is fixed on the outer surface of the housing to cover at least part of the opening of the other guide groove after the other end portion of the lens barrier has been inserted into the other guide groove, and engages with the other end portion of the lens barrier in the front direction to prevent the other end portion of the lens barrier from separating from the opening of the other guide groove.
