    摘要: To reduce the number of simultaneously driven printing elements so that the instantaneously flowing current is restricted in a printing system for completing an image by repeating the printing scan a plurality of times in the same printing area while applying random mask thereto. For this purpose, a mask of a predetermined size is structured as a thinning pattern in which data are arranged randomly, the data being for determining whether or not the respective ink ejection openings in a printing head are to be driven when the printing head repeats the scan a plurality of times in the same printing area of a printing medium. When forming an image, the printing elements concerned with the printing operation in the same printing area are divided into a plurality of sections, and the thinning patterns complementary to each other are applied to the respective sections during the respective printing scans.

    摘要: An ink jet print head includes ink ejection outlets for ejecting ink, passages communicating with the ejection outlets; a common chamber for supplying the ink to the passages; ejection energy generating elements for producing energy for ejecting the ink; an ink supply passage for supplying the ink to the common chamber; a buffering chamber disposed at a position through which a pressure wave resulting from driving of the ejection energy generating elements propagate, the buffering chamber containing a gas for attenuating the pressure wave, wherein a part of a wall constituting the buffering chamber has a gas transmitting property permitting introduction of gas external of the print head into the buffering chamber and preventing passage of ink from the common chamber through the gas transmitting member.

    摘要: An apparatus that includes a recording head having a plurality of recording elements arranged in a first direction is scanningly moved relative to a recording material in a second direction which is different from the first direction. The apparatus includes a motor driver for scanningly moving the recording head to the recording material in the second direction and a CPU/MPU for controlling driving of the recording head such that while scanningly moving the recording head in the second direction, the recording is effected such that a recording band region which extends into a second region and which is recorded using part of a continuous recording element and a non-recording band region which is not recorded, appears alternately, and by a different scanning movement, the non-recording band region is recorded. The recording band region and the non-recording band region have the same size.

    摘要: In an image processing device for recording images with Y, M, and C color ink, a received Bk image is recorded with a color more similar to an original black color and solves a problem caused by too much amount of ejected ink such as bleeding with other colors or feathering. An image data consisting of four color elements of YMCBk is entered from a host computer, a Bk conversion unit converts the Bk element to respective Y, M, and C elements by masking of respective Y, M, and C elements generated randomly for the entered Bk element image data, and an image synthesizing unit synthesizes the converted YMC elements with the entered YMC elements. Then, an image recording unit for forming an image with three colors of YMC forms an image based on the synthesized YMC elements and records the image on a recording medium with ejecting YMC ink from a recording head.
