In one embodiment of the present invention, a gaming terminal receives a predetermined game outcome from a central controller. The gaming terminal determines a game outcome presentation, (i.e., how the game outcome is displayed or presented to the player) for the provided game outcome by selecting a game outcome presentation seed for the received game outcome. The gaming terminal utilizes the selected game outcome presentation seed to determine a game outcome presentation. The determined game outcome presentation is displayed to the player and the received game outcome is provided to the player.

摘要： The invention is directed to methods and gaming units for conducting a wagering game and an associated progressive jackpot in a gaming network having a plurality of operatively coupled gaming units. A progressive jackpot award amount may be determined in part based on the amount of the player's wager for the occurrence of the wagering game in relation to a maximum wager amount that may be made on one of the gaming units in the gaming network. The progressive jackpot pool may include a main pool and a reserve pool. Portions of players' wagers being added to the progressive jackpot pool may be apportioned between the main pool and the reserve pool based on calculation performed at the gaming network, with the apportionment being at least partially determined by the amount in the main pool. In addition, the main pool may be reseeded from the reserve pool after a progressive jackpot is awarded. The amount added to the main pool may be determined based on the amount of the progressive jackpot award, predetermined minimum seed amounts and other parameters.

摘要： Disclosed are methods of producing a blunted postprandial glycemic response in an individual, and/or reducing postprandial insulin secretion, said methods comprising administering to the individual a nutritional or other product comprising gamma-cyclodextrin. Also disclosed are similar other methods directed toward the use of such products to provide weight and appetite control, to normalize blood glucose levels in individuals with impaired glucose tolerance, to minimize nighttime hypoglycemia in diabetic and non-diabetic patients, to prevent reactive hypoglycemia in susceptible non-diabetics, to normalize blood glucose levels in individuals with gestational diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance during gestation, and/or to provide a prolonged glycemic response during exercise. The methods are based upon the discovery that gamma-cyclodextrins are rapidly metabolized and absorbed in the small intestine, but subsequently result in a surprisingly blunted postprandial glycemic response and reduced insulin secretion.

Some implementations of the invention provide a bingo game having aspects of a card game, such as a poker game. Some such implementations include a bingo card display in which areas of a bingo card correspond with playing cards. Preferred implementations provide games with easily recognizable bingo play. Accordingly, some implementations involve a 5×5 bingo card, wherein areas of the bingo card correspond with non-bingo symbols such as playing cards, and 75 randomly chosen numbers for game play. Bingo numbers are also assigned to areas of the bingo card, although these bingo numbers may or may not be displayed on the card. The randomly chosen numbers may be indicated by a “ball drop” involving a predetermined number of balls. Alternative implementations involve other types of bingo cards, including bingo cards with more or fewer areas, and the use of more or fewer than 75 randomly chosen numbers for game play.
