    摘要: An electrophotographic imaging member including a charge generating layer and a charge transport layer, the charge transport layer including a charge transporting small molecule dissolved or molecularly dispersed in a film forming charge transporting polymer comprising charge transporting moieties in the backbone of the film forming charge transporting polymer, the charge transporting moieties having a structure substantially identical to the structure of the charge transporting small molecule, the charge transporting small molecule having an ionization potential substantially identical to the ionization potential of the polymer, and the charge transport layer being substantially free of electrically inactive film forming binder. This imaging member may be employed in an electrophotographic imaging process.

    摘要: An improved layered photoresponsive device comprised of a substrate, a photogenerating layer, comprised of inorganic photoconductive composition, or an organic photoconductive composition, a charge carrier transport layer in contact with the photogenerating layer, which transport layer is comprised of electrically active molecules of the formula: ##STR1## dispersed in a highly insulating and transparent organic resinous material, wherein X is selected from the group consisting of (ortho) CH.sub.3, (meta) CH.sub.3, (para) CH.sub.3, (ortho) Cl, (meta) Cl, (para) Cl; and as a top coating in contact with the charge carrier transport layer, an arylmethane of the formula: ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups, aryl groups, alkylaryl groups and arylalkyl groups, R.sub.3 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, and methyl, R.sub.4 is independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups, alkylaryl groups, arylalkyl groups, and a disubstituted aminophenyl group, wherein the substituents are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl, aryl, alkylaryl, and arylalkyl, as well as the use of such devices in electrostatic latent imaging systems.

The first layer comprises a photoconductive layer which is capable of photogenerating holes and injecting photogenerated holes into a contiguous charge transport layer. The charge transport layer comprises a polycarbonate resin containing from about 25 to about 75 percent by weight of one or more of a compound having a general formula: ##STR1## wherein R is selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group having from 1 to about 4 carbon atoms and chlorine in the ortho, meta or para position. This structure may be imaged in the conventional xerographic mode which usually includes charging, exposure to light and development.

    摘要: A photosensitive member having at least two electrically operative layers is disclosed. The first layer comprises a photoconductive layer which is capable of photogenerating holes and injecting photogenerated holes into a contiguous charge transport layer. The charge transport layer comprises an electrically inactive organic resinous material containing from about 10 to about 75 percent by weight of: ##STR1## R.sub.1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen (ortho) CH.sub.3, (meta) CH.sub.3, (para) CH.sub.3, and R.sub.2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, (ortho) CH.sub.3, (meta) CH.sub.3, and (para) CH.sub.3. The charge transport layer while substantially non-absorbing in the spectral region of intended use is "active" in that it allows injection of photogenerated holes from the photoconductive layer, and allows these holes to be transported through the charge transport layer. This structure may be imaged in the conventional xerographic mode which usually includes charging, exposure to light and development.
