摘要: A rack may include a toothed portion having a toothing, and a shaft portion having a threaded portion with a coaxial thread that has a thread length in an axial direction of a longitudinal axis. Separate segments comprising at least one in each case bar-shaped toothed segment and one shaft segment are provided, are aligned on the longitudinal axis, and are connected to one another at a joint. A method for producing the rack may involve providing a shaft raw material piece having a piece length that is a multiple of a shaft segment length, generating a thread that is continuous in a longitudinal direction on the shaft raw material piece across a multiple of the thread length to produce a threaded semi-finished product, cutting to length a threaded segment from the threaded semi-finished product, providing a toothed segment, and joining the threaded segment to the toothed segment.

摘要: An electromechanical power steering system for a motor vehicle may include a driving worm that is driven by an electric motor and acts on a worm gear that is coupled to a steering shaft. The driving worm may be mounted in such a way that it can rotate about its worm axis. More particularly, the driving worm may be mounted in a bearing that is held in a mount. The mount may prestress the driving worm in a direction of the worm gear. In some examples, the mount is torsionally weak about a torsion axis that is positioned perpendicularly with respect to the worm axis.

摘要: A power steering apparatus assists steering of a vehicle by conferring torque generated by an electric motor to a steering mechanism. The apparatus includes a steering column with linked upper and lower steering shafts. An angle sensor (AS) includes a gear and magnet to measure the steering shaft angle. A torque sensor (TS) measures the relative shift angle between the upper and lower steering shaft and includes a multi-pole ring magnet and a magnetic flux conductor. The TS and AS are arranged such that the AS magnet influences the TS measurement creating a steering shaft angle depending error signal. The steering mechanism is arranged such that a zero crossing of an envelope curve of the error signal is given for the neutral position of the steering apparatus or a range of the steering position in which the steering angle is less than a threshold angle limit.

摘要: A motor-adjustable steering column including a supporting unit which is connectable to a vehicle body and by which an actuating unit is held which includes a steering spindle mounted in a casing unit to be rotatable about a longitudinal axis. The casing unit has an outer casing tube, in which an inner casing tube is accommodated to be axially displaceable telescopically in the direction of the longitudinal axis. An actuating drive is connected to the inner casing tube and the outer casing tube by which the inner casing tube may be displaced axially in and out relative to the outer casing tube. A feature arranged between the outer casing tube and the inner casing tube generates a frictional force between outer casing tube and inner casing tube with regard to relative displacement which is adjustable between a release position and at least one friction position.

摘要: A method may be used to error compensate a measurement of an electric motor's rotor position in a power steering system of a motor vehicle. The electric motor generates torque for assisting steering of the motor vehicle, and stray magnetic fields of motor currents affect the measurement of the rotor position with a magneto-resistive rotor position sensor. The method may involve calculating at least two compensation values based on a current vector, rotor position, and hardware dependent parameters. The at least two compensation values account for errors in the rotor position measurement due to stray magnetic fields of motor currents. The method may also involve calculating a compensated rotor position signal by subtracting the at least two compensation values of the measured rotor position, as well as transferring the compensated rotor position signal as part of a feed-back loop to a target motor torque determination in the motor control.

摘要: A clamping device may include clamping jaws that selectively clamp a steering column tube that is adjustable. A clamping pin may connect the clamping jaws. Rotation of the clamping pin in a closure direction causes the steering column tube to be clamped between the clamping jaws, and rotation of the clamping pin in an opening direction releases the clamping jaws for adjustment of the steering column tube. A damping member may be disposed on the clamping pin and connected to the clamping pin in a frictionally engaging or resilient manner. The damping member may comprise a stop tongue that protrudes radially from the clamping pin. When the clamping pin rotates in the opening direction, the stop tongue moves into abutment with the steering column tube and prevents rotation of the damping member so that the rotation of the clamping pin in the opening direction occurs counter to the friction force or resilient force and is damped.”

The longitudinal slot may have a greater width in the release position than in the fixing position. The method may involve, amongst other steps, manufacturing at least one single blank of the outer steering column tube and/or of the inner steering column tube using an extrusion process.
