Abstract: A curtain track assembly includes an elongated track body that defines au-shaped track groove extending in a longitudinal direction and having a front opening extending in the longitudinal direction, and that is formed with stoppers disposed frontwardly of the front opening of the track groove, and an elongated curtain holding member insertable into and slidable in the track groove. The curtain holding member is limited from moving out of the track groove through the front opening by the stoppers, and includes an elongated flexible hook-and-loop fastener that protrudes frontwardly and outwardly of the front opening of the track groove, and an elongated rigid backing batten secured to the hook-and-loop fastener to support the hook-and-loop fastener and prevent deformation of the hook-and-loop fastener.

Abstract: In a spring-loaded curtain mount, the mount includes a pole interface at a proximal end, a compressive mechanism, and a head at a distal end. The pole interface is adapted to receive the end of a standard length adjustable pole or a painter's pole. The compression mechanism is disposed between the proximal end of the mount and the head. The mount includes a coupling device adapted to receive a portion of a curtain. During installation, the curtain mount is coupled to the end of an extension pole and the length of the pole is adjusted such that the combined length of the pole and mount is slightly longer than the distance between the floor and ceiling. At ground level, a portion of the curtain is attached to the head of the curtain mount. The curtain and mount are raised to the ceiling and the mount and pole are compressed between the floor and the ceiling. This compressive force operates to urge the head toward the ceiling, securing the mount in place.

In another form, a groover valance receives short lengths of slats having tapes containing another of the hooks and loops of the fasteners. By inserting the slats along the groover valance, the fabric valance may be applied to the groover valance. The slats and fabric sleeve may be provided separately in small soft packages.

Abstract: A drapery rod includes a substrate covered with a veneer or genuine wood. The substrate is hollow and is preferably made of plastic or metal. The substrate has ribs in an inner surface and has a mounting groove which receives a mounting bracket for mounting said drapery rod to an associated wall. The mounting bracket has opposed prongs which are selectively moveable outwardly from each other for pushing outwardly against an interior surface of the mounting groove to effectively mount said rod to the wall without compressively loading the veneer. The veneer is attached to the outer surface of the substrate via glue. The rod features a slot in an outer surface of the veneer which receives a decorative strip. The rod also includes a pair of returns which also have substrates and veneers similar to said drapery rod and which are oriented generally perpendicularly to the drapery rod at each end thereof. The rod also includes two corners which join the returns with one of the ends of said drapery rod. The corners are made of solid wood.

Abstract: A drapery system which allows for rapid hanging and removal of drapes has carriers which are connected to the drape panels using strips of Velcro material. Velcro material is secured to the drape panels at selected areas, such that when joined to the carriers, which also have a Velcro material secured thereto (of a type which will mate with the Velcro material on the panels), the drapes will hang uniformly from the track. The strips of Velcro material on the drape panels can also be used in one embodiment to control the depth and number of folds in the panels. The panels can optionally have pockets in the heading for the connection of the carriers such that the carriers and material to which they are fastened are hidden on both sides of the drapes.
