摘要: An article of footwear may have an upper with a knitted component. Alone or in combination, the knitted component may include regions with different degrees of stretch-resistance; the knitted component forms a collar with a half-gauge knit; the upper includes a strand with sections that are inlaid within the knitted component, and the sections are positioned immediately adjacent to each other; the strand forms a plurality of loops, pairs of the loops are positioned immediately adjacent to each other and configured to receive a lace; and the knitted component includes a thermoplastic polymer material, and the strand is unbonded to the thermoplastic polymer material.

摘要: A textile fleece fabric having a resistance to thermal energy from exposure to momentary electric arcs or flame so as to be suitable for use in safety apparel is made of three integrated layers including inner and outer layers on opposite sides of an intervening middle layer. The inner and outer layers are comprised predominately of textile fibers which have inherent or additive flame resistant properties, and the middle layer is comprised substantially entirely of textile fibers without inherent or additive flame resistant properties. The textile fibers of one of the inner or outer layers have a raised nap forming a fleece surface.

摘要: A knitted prosthetic device has at least two knitted sections, where each knitted section has at least one row of fiber. The knitted prosthetic device also has at least one intra-articular section disposed between the at least two knitted sections. In addition, the at least one intra-articular section has at least one single continuous fiber traversing the at least one intra-articular section and the at least two knitted sections, where the at least one single continuous fiber forms a plurality of traverses extending between the at least two knitted sections. In particular, embodiments may be used as ligament prostheses by anchoring each of the at least two knitted sections to a bone section of a patient. Such embodiments may be constructed from a strong polymer, preferably, but not limited to, silk, where the polymer provides ligament support but bioresorbs as load bearing responsibilities are transferred to tissue resulting from ingrowth.

摘要: An article of apparel is provided for determining location information via a global positioning system and transmitting the location information to a remote location. The article of apparel comprises a fabric web having at least one yarn of wire formed within the fabric web. The yarn of wire forms an antenna for receipt and transmission of radio frequency signals. A GPS receiver is interconnected to the antenna, wherein the GPS receiver determines a location of the article of apparel via a global positioning system. A transmitter is provided to transmit the location of the article of apparel determined by the GPS receiver. A power supply is interconnected to the GPS receiver and the transmitter.
