Abstract: A tent is provided with an inflatable support structure having a manually operated inflation pump associated with the inflatable support structure and the tent. The pump is fixedly attached to the tent such that the tent and the pump form a single, integrated unit. The pump is preferably movable between a storage position and a use position. While in the storage position, the pump is also preferably is hidden or camouflaged by the tent environment. The tent structure may also be enhanced with sound capabilities for increasing enjoyment and use of the tent.

Abstract: An inflatable shelter includes a flexible membrane, a first elongate inflatable tube supported by the flexible membrane and a second elongated inflatable tube supported by the flexible membrane. The first tube has first and second axial ends and a first intermediate portion between the first and second axial ends. The second tube has third and fourth axial ends and a second intermediate portion between the third and fourth axial ends. The first, second, third and fourth axial ends terminate in a plane. The first and second intermediate portions converge towards one another such that the first and second tubes form four legs supporting the membrane. The flexible membrane preferably includes first and second sleeves defining first and second lumens receiving the first and second inflatable tubes, respectively, and a plurality of wall panels coupled to and extending between the first and second sleeves. The first and second lumens of the first and second sleeves are separated by at least one divider panel extending substantially parallel to the first and second tubes. The first and second tubes are insertable into and removable from the first and second sleeves, respectively, such that the first and second tubes are replaceable.

Abstract: An inflatable skating rink made up of a plurality of base modules positioned adjacent to one another to define a perimeter of the skating rink. Base modules are made of a flexible material which is substantially impermeable to air. The base modules can be conveniently inflated and deflated. The adjacent base modules include air portals for providing a fluid passageway between the interior of the two adjacently positioned base modules so that the base modules can be mutually inflated and deflated. The adjacent base modules may be connected together in a manner so that they may be separated from one another during disassembly of the skating rink.

Abstract: A portable inflatable shelter (10) for temporarily covering a portion of an object, such as an aircraft engine (12), while partially resting on another portion of the object, such as an aircraft wing (13), includes a plurality of inflatable interconnected tubes (15-25) which carry fabric (26) extending therebetween. When the tubes (15-25) are inflated, the shelter formed thereby includes a roof section over the portion of the object, side sections on each side of the portion of the object, a front access opening, and an overhang section resting on the other portion of the object. The shelter (10) is erected by positioning the uninflated shelter adjacent to the portion of the object to be covered with the front access opening facing the ground. Guy lines (31,33) are then attached from one of the side sections of the shelter to a first point (32) on the ground. Additional guy lines (34,36) are attached from the other side section to a second point (35) on the ground. The shelter (10) is then inflated and pivoted on an axis (30) defined by the first (32) and second (35) points so that the shelfter (10) encloses the portion of the object to be covered.

Abstract: An elastomeric enclosure is initially inflated to a desired pressure by a gas having large molecules incapable of diffusing outwardly from the enclosure, except at a relatively slow rate. When the enclosure is surrounded by ambient air at atmospheric pressure, such air passes into the enclosures by reverse diffusion, thus extracting energy from the ambient sea of air to progressively increase the total pressure in the enclosure to a substantial extent over a period of several months, the pressure then decreasing very slowly over an extended period to its initial inflation pressure, such extended period being as much as about two years or more. This added energy may be used to perform useful work or used in various pneumatic devices to achieve essentially permanent inflation. Decrease in pressure below the initial inflation value continues at a very slow rate over an additional period of many months, and, in fact, several years, with the inflation pressure still remaining at a sufficiently high value which enables the inflated enclosures to still possess a useful life.

Abstract: A structural design of a tent for camping, particularly an inflatable amphibious tent which consists of a tent case, a guard tent and an air mattress connected with the internal base of the tent case. The tent case and air mattress each have a few valve holes for rapid inflation so that the tent can be erected on the land or on the water, and it is not necessary to construct supports. Since the base is an air mattress, the tent when used on land can be free of the discomfort resulting from accumulated water on rainy days and of the trouble of digging a ditch. The interior of the surface layer inner and outer annular edges of the upper annular surface and the outer annular edge of the lower annular surface of the air mattress respectively, wrap a cord or bead chain which winds about and crosses the air column of tent case so as to make structure of the tent case as a whole very firm, and to keep same balanced and stable while floating on the water. Windows for viewing and firing firearms are provided in the other walls. Support tie-off loops are located at each corner top and bottom of the shelter for extra support if needed.
