摘要: A cooking appliance includes a ventilation system having a duct in fluid communication with a vent opening defined in a cooking surface. A set of first louvers and a set of second louvers are disposed in the duct and selectively moveable between a respective first position and second position. A blower motor with a selectable speed of operation is in fluid communication with duct. A controller module is operative to receive a first signal indicative of a value of a first parameter from a user interface, receive a second signal indicative of a measured a value of a second parameter from a sensor, and to selectively trigger a change in the blower motor speed of operation, position of the set of first louvers, or the position of the set of second louvers, based on the value of the first parameter and the second parameter.

摘要: A door assembly for a microwave appliance includes a door frame that defines a door plenum and an air inlet. A monitor cradle is positioned toward a front of the door frame for receiving an image monitor. A duct is mounted to the door frame to divide the plenum into a low pressure region and a high pressure region, and an air handler is mounted to the duct to urge a flow of air from the air inlet, through the low pressure region, and into high pressure region. The flow of air cools electronics in the high pressure region before passing through an upper outlet that directs the flow of air along a surface of the image monitor and through a lower outlet that directs the flow of air along a transverse direction below the image monitor.

摘要: In a method for monitoring a cooking process, a cooking receptacle is detected on a cooking zone of a cooktop. The detected cooking receptacle is determined by determining a surface of a food to be cooked which is contained in the cooking receptacle. A change in level of the surface of the food is determined over a predetermined time, and a rising rate of the food is ascertained as a result of the change in level. Based on the ascertained rising rate, a probability of a boiling over of the food is predicted and a warning signal is output based on the predicted probability of the food boiling over.

摘要: A Safety Cooking Device includes a thermal sensor that detects infrared radiation (IR) to generate thermal images of a cooktop over time, and a controller. The controller uses the thermal images to determine whether the cooktop is unattended. Both wired and wireless embodiments of the cooking safety device are disclosed. In one implementation, the cooking safety device is in communication with and reports to a security panel of a security system.
