Abstract:
Soy protein products, such as soy protein isolates and soy protein concentrates, and processes for producing the same are disclosed. The soy protein products are produced from a partially defatted soybean starting material without the use of hexane or other organic solvents. The soy protein products have a high sterol and/or tocopherol content, and may be used in a variety of food products.
Abstract:
A modular time piece including a time keeping mechanism, a time indicating casing and a band secured to the time indicating casing. The time keeping mechanism is easily engageable and disengageable to the time indicating casing to permit the time indicating casing and band to be selectively interchanged. The modular time piece farther includes a time setting stem and a retractable tab extending from the back of the time keeping mechanism. The retractable tab permits finger rotation of the time keeping mechanism relative to the time indicating casing during engagement and disengagement therebetween.
Abstract:
A gear train structure of an electronic watch which is high in hand indication accuracy and which eliminates the occurrence of stopping of the watch due to dust, nap or the like. The electronic watch gear train structure includes a second wheel 13 having a minute hand attached thereto, and a braking wheel 15 for applying to the second wheel 13 a rotary torque of a reverse direction to a direction of rotation of the second wheel 13. The braking Wheel 15 includes a gear adapted to mesh with the second wheel 13, a spring 21 having one end thereof fastened to a shaft of the gear, and a balance spring frame 23 having a circumferential wall surface for contacting with the free end side of the spring 21. By vircute of this gear train structure, a rotary torque of a reverse direction to the direction of rotation of the second wheel is always applied to it from the braking wheel 15 and therefore the backlash between the two gears is always closed up in the reverse direction to the direction of rotation of the second wheel.
Abstract:
The fifth or intermediate wheel and pinion assembly of a gear train cooperates directly with the motor rotor pinion and the fourth wheel to provide a full stepdown in angular rotation between the motor rotor and a second hand. The upper tenon of the fourth wheel and pinion is supported on a third wheel bridge, and the upper tenon of the fifth wheel and pinion is supported on a fifth wheel bridge with the fifth wheel overlapping the tenon of the fourth wheel and pinion. This overlapping and elimination of wheels provides a compact, reliable and durable gear train for a timepiece of reduced dimensions.
Abstract:
An electronic or mechanical timepiece of the analog display type provided with a gear train for driving timekeeping hands. The gear train includes a center pipe affixed to an intermediate bridge secured to the base plate, a free cannon pinion being rotatably supported on the pipe and having a center wheel mounted thereon which is disposed in the space between the bridge and a section of the base plate, thereby providing a dependable support for the cannon pinion without the need for enlarging the diameter of the center wheel or of the drive pinion intermeshing therewith.
Abstract:
An electrically energized timepiece movement is provided with motion work the form of a planetary train entirely supported on the frame of a driving motor. Coaxial planet pinions are excentrically located on a minute wheel, one planet pinion engaging a fixed central gear and the other engaging the hour wheel.
Abstract:
A mechanical watch movement comprising a minute-wheel and pinion, a cannon pinion with a toothing which meshes with that of the minute-wheel and an hour-wheel coaxial with the cannon-pinion and cooperating with the minute-wheel pinion, wherein the minutewheel pinion is thicker than the minute-wheel, the minute-wheel pinion further comprises teeth each having for at least a portion of its thickness a lateral face in the form of an arc of a cylinder coaxial with the minute-wheel pinion whereas some of the teeth each have a point extending beyond the lateral face, said lateral face thus being thinner than the minute-wheel pinion, the minute-wheel is driven onto the lateral faces and the outside diameter of the toothing of the hour-wheel is such that only the points cooperate with the hour-wheel toothing.
