摘要： A self-closing hinge comprises a pair of hinge leaves pivotally interconnected by an offset hinge pin. One leaf has a flanged head projecting substantially radially with respect to a sleeve of the other hinge leaf, within which the hinge pin is mounted. The external surface of the sleeve serves as a cam surface against which a follower element carried on the head of the other leaf is biased. The cam follower comprises a tubular spring-steel member oriented parallel to the hinge pin and generates a force through the head of the other leaf along an axis distally offset relative to the axis of the hinge pin. During closing of the hinge the follower is brought into registration with a pocket formed in the sleeve to effect a rocking movement of the follower about one edge of the pocket to generate a self-closing moment.

摘要： There is disclosed a hinge structure for a bifold door assembly or the like, which includes first and second leaf members, the first leaf member comprising a generally flat mounting or leaf portion and a knuckle portion. The knuckle portion includes one or more and preferably a pair of coaxial spaced, knuckle portions which are of a generally semi-circular or U-shaped configuration in cross section, thus defining generally open knuckles. The second leaf member includes a generally flat mounting or leaf portion and a knuckle portion comprising a generally cylindrical closed knuckle with a pair of rod-like pins extending coaxially therefrom. The axial length of the closed knuckle is such that it may be disposed between the open knuckles of the first leaf member and the outwardly extending pins received in the open, U-shaped knuckle portions. Upon assembly, the first leaf member is mounted so that the open knuckle portions are offset with respect to the door edge, with a surface portion of the door serving to cooperate with the open knuckle portions to confine the pin members and prevent lateral separation.

摘要： A cabinet hinge for quickly and removably attaching a door to a cabinet without defacing or marring the cabinet. The hinge includes a first hinge leaf attached to the door and a second hinge leaf attached to the wall of the cabinet. The second leaf includes a generally planar rearward portion which lies against the side of the cabinet wall and provides a pair of attaching tabs which are inserted into perforated shelf-support strips carried by the wall. The forward portion of the second hinge leaf is generally L-shaped and includes an intermediate portion which lies against the front of the cabinet wall. The front of the wall is provided with a vertically extending slot, and a rearwardly extending projection on the forward portion is received by the slot.
