Abstract:
A support for casks includes a base structure having (a) stanchions which can be disassembled or folded down, (b) complementary intermediate stanchions which can be disassembled or folded down, and (c) pivots or housings for forming mortised connections to the free ends of the stanchions or intermediate stanchions of subjacent supports. The pivots or housings are out of alignment with respect to the stanchions and intermediate stanchions, such that the supports and casks supported thereon are arranged in staggered, parallel rows when stacked. The support can also include a plurality of freely rotating wheels such that the casks seated thereon can be rotated on their axes.
Abstract:
A self-levelling apparatus for a seat comprises a base (21, 22, 27), a seat levelling assembly (2, 18, 19, 41) displaceably connected with the base, and a reversible electrical motor (40) disposed between the seat and the base for rotation of the seat levelling assembly around an axis about parallel with the base. The seat levelling assembly is disposed between the base and the axis. Themotor shaft (42) extends parallel with the axis and engages with a flexible actuation means, such as a roller chain, fixed at its one end at the base. The apparatus also comprises a positional detection means for control of the motor. The apparatus further comprises arcuate co-operating seat and base bearing elements (2; 22) of which at least one has a surface defined by rotation of a straight, curved or irregular line around the axis, such as a cylinder or cone segment surface.
Abstract:
A hanger holder provided for being carried on a conventional laundry basket and for carrying a plurality of conventional clothes hangers in such a manner as to not allow any of the hangers to fall therefrom, and such that the hangers retained thereby are prevented from becoming entangled one with another. The hanger holder of the present invention includes at least two loop members secured to each other or to a base. Each loop member is provided with a fastener for fastening the distal end thereof to either the proximal end of one of the loops, or to the base. In one embodiment, a first loop is provided for being mounted on a conventional laundry basket, a wire-type shelving unit, or a clothes rod in a closet. Second and third loops are provided for encircling either side of at least one conventional hanger, with the hook of each hanger being disposed between the second and third loops. In an alternate embodiment of the hanger holder of the present invention, first and second loop members are secured to a ring member. The distal ends of each loop member are received through an opening in the laundry basket, pulled over the basket and then received through the ring member. The distal end of each loop member is provided with a portion of a conventional fastener to facilitate securement to one or the other loop members.
Abstract:
A flat-panel display apparatus including a display unit having a screen; a stand unit supporting the display uni; a hinge unit connected between the display unit and the stand unit, to enable forward and backward tilting and leftward and rightward swivelling of the display unit. A pair of tilt stoppers are formed in the hinge unit to prevent excessive tilting of the display unit either forwardly or rearwardly. A pair of supplemental stoppers is formed at external sides of the hinge member to reinforce the tilt stoppers to prevent the excessive tilting of the display unit.
Abstract:
The stabilizing apparatus of the present invention has the advantages of allowing the computer system tower units to be positioned in close proximity with respect to each other while providing stability for a single or multiple tower units. The present invention provides a stabilizing apparatus for a computer system having one or more tower units with a generally narrow width base with respect to the depth and height of each tower unit. At least one pedestal spans the base of the tower unit in a direction transverse to the depth of the tower unit. The pedestal of the present invention is a single bar having two ends which extend outwardly from opposite sides of the tower unit for preventing the tower unit from overturning. Alternatively, the ends are also angled downwardly for raising the base of the tower unit. Screws are used, for instance, to attach the pedestal to the tower unit. The pedestal of one tower unit is capable of interlacing with the pedestal of another tower unit allowing the tower units to be positioned in close proximity with respect to each other.
Abstract:
A condiment container support device, the device being attachable to a supporting structure for supporting a condiment container includes a receptacle structure defining at least one condiment container receptacle aperture. A flange is resiliently operably coupled to the receptacle structure. And, an attachment for attaching the flange to a supporting structure surface to cantilever the receptacle structure substantially orthogonally with respect to the flange attached to the supporting structure surface. A method for supporting a condiment container is included.
Abstract:
A high capacity motorized rack holds a plurality of jewel case enclosed CDs in holders flexibly inter-connectable with each other to form a rotatable continuous loop. The loop is rotatably retained within a vertical rack housing and is driven by a motor, disposed within the housing, under user control such that the loop is rotated until a desired CD is moved to the top region of the belt. A rack may hold two or more such loops of inter-connected holders. In one embodiment a holder retains a single jewel case, and comprises two independent loops that are rotated with a single motor. A preferred embodiment employs inter-connectable holders that each retain two jewel cases in a side-by-side configuration. A lamp and/or barcode scanner may be disposed on the housing for ease of CD selection. The housing base preferably is detached during shipping to permit transporting the rack in a smaller volume container. User control can include voice commands to direct loop rotation and speed.
Abstract:
A plane display with a foldable support. The plane display comprises a base and a back plane mounted on a plane display panel. The back plane pivots on the base by a sleeve. The connecting rod is disposed in the sleeve, and slides between a first position and a second position. An L-shaped member is fixed on the connecting rod. When the connecting rod is in the first position, the L-shaped member secures the back plane to the base at a first angle. When the connecting rod is in the second position, the L-shaped member releases the back plane from the base, and the back plane rotates with respect to the base to a second angle.
Abstract:
Apparatus for supporting cable, hose and the like between a tractor and trailer of a tractor-trailer rig. The apparatus includes a base member attached to the frame of the tractor and a tubular sleeve member extending vertically therefrom. A support member has a portion insertable into the sleeve member for rotation therein and from an upper end of which extends, at an angle therewith, an arm portion. An attachment member is connected to the distal end of the arm member for attachment to cable, hose and the like.
Abstract:
A mounting support bracket for an advertising windup reel which comprises a base which is to be fixedly secured to an exterior surface. Mounted on the base are a pair of hook members and a depending tab with the outer end of the depending tab having an elongated ridge and groove. A portion of an advertising windup reel is to be connectable between the groove and the hook members to be clamped therebetween thereby fixing in position the advertising windup reel to the mounting support bracket. The depending tab includes a handle which facilitates manual movement of such to deflect the depending tab and permit disengagement of the windup reel housing.
