Abstract: A one piece hanging file made from a continuous web of a flexible sheet material. In one embodiment, small loops are heat-welded at intervals along the strip creating channels or hems for removable hangers. Larger loops between the channels become the file pockets. In another embodiment spring clips clamp small loops of the strip and have notched overhanging ends to engage the support rails. In another embodiment, laminated film is welded directly to the edges of the hanger strips. In all embodiments the filed objects, such as compact discs, rise smoothly out of the looped file pocket when a hanger is lifted. In all embodiments, an opening or aperture made in the center of the looped bottom prevents round media such as CDs from accidentally rolling out of the pocket.

Abstract: A litter scoop holder comprising a support member and a removable receptacle. The receptacle includes a floor, a front wall, a rear wall, and a pair of sidewalls to form a scoop pocket. The receptacle rear wall includes a tab and the floor includes a rib. The support member contains a rear wall and a floor to support the receptacle. The support rear wall includes a pocket to receive the receptacle tab and the support floor includes a flexible release tab having an aperture to receive the rib. When in the locked position, the receptacle tab is inserted into the support pocket and the receptacle is pivoted such that the rib slideable engages and defects the flexible release tab until the release tab aperture receives and secures the rib. To remove the receptacle, the release tab is pressed and the receptacle is pivoted in the opposite direction.

Abstract: A pocket-size rappelling hook is provided for use by firefighters and the like in escaping from the upper stories of a burning building. The inventive rappelling hook is lightweight and portable, thus minimizing any impedance to a firefighter's ability to perform his/her duties. The inventive rappelling hook includes an elongate body having front and back surfaces, first and second side surfaces, and spaced apart first and second ends. Abstract: A high capacity motorized rack holds a plurality of jewel case enclosed CDs in holders flexibly inter-connectable with each other to form a rotatable continuous loop. The loop is rotatably retained within a vertical rack housing and is driven by a motor, disposed within the housing, under user control such that the loop is rotated until a desired CD is moved to the top region of the belt. A rack may hold two or more such loops of inter-connected holders. In one embodiment a holder retains a single jewel case, and comprises two independent loops that are rotated with a single motor. A preferred embodiment employs inter-connectable holders that each retain two jewel cases in a side-by-side configuration. A lamp and/or barcode scanner may be disposed on the housing for ease of CD selection. The housing base preferably is detached during shipping to permit transporting the rack in a smaller volume container. User control can include voice commands to direct loop rotation and speed.

Abstract: An apparatus for the storage and display of articles of jewelry includes a plurality of plastic strips that are disposed in parallel alignment with respect to each other and which each include a pair of spaced apart openings on each end thereof that are adapted for placement over a pair of posts. The pair of posts are disposed in a parallel spaced apart relationship with respect to each other. Each of the plastic strips includes a plurality of fingers that protrude slightly outward and away from the posts and are adapted to receive and to retain an article of jewelry that may be suspended therefrom. The posts are retained in position in a cabinet. The strips are retained in position along the pair of posts unless the strips are acted on by a force which tends to urge them in either direction along the longitudinal length of the pair of posts. The strips may be urged either closer together or further apart to accommodate various sizes of jewelry items. A brace is preferably used to retain the pair of posts in a proper spaced-apart relationship. The cabinet includes a door that is hingedly attached to a rear half and, when closed, is used to protect the jewelry from the elements and also to conceal the jewelry and, if desired, for purposes of transport.
