摘要： A clamp is provided for detachably securing a toilet seat to a toilet bowl. A spherically headed bolt is securely bolted into each of the holes in the flange portion of the rear of the upper part of the bowl so that the spherical head of the post extends out beyond the upper part of the bowl. Fasteners, each having downwardly depending wall circumscribing a socket for mateably receiving one of these projections and securing it therein against unpurposeful disengagement, are associated with the toilet seat, and may rotatably engage the hinge shaft found to the rear of many types of toilet seats. By lifting on a finger grip ledge extending out at the rear of each of the fasteners, the fasteners and the bolt heads are disengaged, thereby detaching the toilet seat from its position on the top part of the bowl. This device, by permitting such easy disengagement of the toilet seat, facilitates cleaning and hygiene.

摘要： A pair of anchoring means are secured to the rear portion of a toilet bowl by means of a suitable fastener. The head end of the anchoring means which have an annular groove formed therein extend above the toilet bowl and are positioned in similarly sized and shaped openings in a supporting plate to which the toilet seat is pivotally coupled. A pair of rotatable locking pins each having a notch therein extend through the supporting plate for selective engagement and disengagement with the respective annular groove in the head end of the anchoring means.

摘要： A flush toilet which includes a concave bowl with a bottom drain port and a closure such as a pan or plate to close the drain port. When a pan is used, it can hold a quantity of water to form a gas seal. When a plate is used, a mechanical seal is employed. The closure is pivotable away from the drain port to permit the bowl to drain. Flushing means is provided which includes a nozzle directing a stream of flushing water tangentially into the bowl, air purging means to purge air from said water stream before a substantial amount of it discharges into the bowl, and a unique combined ball valve and vacuum breaker in the water supply system. The toilet also can include linkage which toggle-locks the closure in its closed position, a break-way lid, and when a mechanical seal is used, a gas-sealing overflow.

摘要： A toilet seat hinge is provided, which permits the attachment of a toilet seat to toilet bowls having substantial variations in spacing between the holes into which the toilet seat is bolted. The hinge comprises a threaded bar around which a pair of collars are attached. Rotation of the threaded bar causes the collars to move along the length of the bar. Fastening means are attached to each of the collars, and permit the attachment of the toilet seat to toilet bowls having widely differing hole configurations. A conventional mounting means for a toilet seat cover is attached to the bar, but is not directly attached to the toilet bowl.

摘要： A self-raising seat for water closets, wherein the seat is fixedly mounted upon a hinge tube, with the tube ends hingedly held in hinge posts secured to the closet bowl. A torsion spring composed of a bundle of leaf springs has one end attached to one end of the hinge tube and its opposite end projecting beyond the opposite end of the tube. A spring holder rotatably mounted in a hinge post is fitted over the projecting end of the spring bundle, and an adjustment screw through the hinge post and in contact with an abutment on the spring holder biases the spring to establish an at rest, raised position of the seat. In another form of the invention, the projecting end of the spring bundle seats in a recess of similar cross-section in the hinge post, providing a fixed anchor for the spring end but no means for spring adjustment.
