摘要： A flush valve assembly for a water tank of a water closet which includes a first valve member which can be secured to the water tank and has a base sleeve position including a radiused inlet to thereby increase the discharge coefficient of the valve opening. A second valve member is coaxially and slidably mounted with respect to the first valve member so that the valve opening is created between the first and second valve members when the second valve member is removed from the first valve member. The second valve member is slidably movable between a first rest position, wherein the second valve member is seated on the base sleeve portion of the first valve member so that water cannot pass through the valve opening, and a second position, wherein the second valve member is removed from the base sleeve portion of the first valve member so that water can pass through the valve opening. A sealing member is provided for sealing the valve opening when the second valve member is in its first rest position and seated on the base sleeve portion of the first valve member. A guiding assembly is further provided for properly guiding and aligning the second valve member with respect to the first valve member when the second valve member is moved between its first and second position. The flush valve assembly also includes a trip release mechanism is further provided for releasing the effect of the flush lever on the second valve member when the second valve member reaches its second position so as to return the second valve member to its first rest position prior to the flush lever returning to its first rest position.

摘要： A radio transceiver, capable of transmitting and receiving in any of a large number (7000.) of channels over a band of frequencies almost an octave wide in the u.h.f. spectrum, which includes a tunable frequency synthesizer operable over the band 225-400 MHz., in 25 KHz. channel spacings, a driver amplifier responsive to the synthesizer over the entire band, a filter of the multi-cavity resonator type continuously tunable over the band and a broad band power amplifier responsive to the output of the filter, amplitude modulation of carrier derived from the power amplifier being achieved at the driver amplifier in response to an error signal equal to the difference between a rectified version of the output of the power amplifier and an audio input signal. Since the cavity resonator presents a load to the driver amplifier which looks like a short circuit when the filter is not correctly tuned, the driver output stages, operating Class C, are bypassed during tuning, drive during tuning being achieved from Class A drivers of the Class C stages until the filter is completely tuned, and in the latter process rough tuning being achieved in terms of a comparison of power reflected from the input of the filter and issuing out of the filter, and fine tuning being achieved in response to phase comparison of the signals at the input and issuing out of the filter. The filter is tuned by a reversible drive motor, which runs the filter through its range. Reflected and output signal amplitudes at the filter are compared to derive a maximum output amplitude signal, which renders logic circuitry responsive to measurements of phase difference between input and output signals. Phase differences achieve plural zeros in passing into and out of the resonance frequency of the filter and logic circuitry is provided which causes repeated reversals of the motor, with progressively descreasing speed, in response to phase differences, as tuning passes from one side to the other of a true zero, until the motor comes to rest.

摘要： Disclosed is a receiver for a navigation system of the Omega type which operates with pulse-modulated signals. The phase of received and local signals is compared by quantized pulses; phase equalization, commutating gate control, phase tracking, and synchronization of gate patterns with timed-sequence input signals are obtained by pulse insertion into, or deletion from, signal loops which contain phase detecting, sequential signal selecting, and readout control components. Phase coincidence is counted cumulatively and is electromechanically stored. Lane position is recorded by pulse insertion. Components are constructed and interrelated to reduce noise and improve selectivity to enhance the benefits obtained by pulsed operation control.

摘要： This application relates to flush tank mechanism for a toilet bowl. The mechanism has a number of parts which are interconnected with each other. Such parts include, among others, an inlet valve, an elongated lever coupled to the input valve and having a channel throughout its length for feeding water from said valve along said channel to the tank via a float supported by the lever, and a hush tube coupled to said valve and providing a second path for feeding water into the tank. The mechanism also includes coupling means for quickly connecting parts, such as the lever and the input valve, to each other, or for disconnecting such parts from each other. Such coupling mechanism includes a rod which may be inserted into the apertures of two parts which are to be coupled to each other and having a head at one end, and a longitudinal bar of pliable plastic material mounted so as to be perpendicular to the rod and to overhang the head of the rod, whereby the coupled parts may be uncoupled by deflecting the bar so that the rod may be slid out of the apertures.

摘要： This invention relates to a pneumatically or hydraulically operated hydraulically lapped control apparatus in which a manually operated control valve device supplies a pneumatic or hydraulic fluid under pressure to the larger end of a differential-type abutment that is moved thereby to operate a spring-returned directional valve device. The operation of this device causes the supply of a hydraulic fluid under pressure from a source of supply of such fluid to a device to be operated thereby and to the smaller end of the differential-type abutment until substantially equal fluid pressure forces are obtained on the opposite ends of this abutment whereupon the spring-returned directional valve is rendered effective to cut off further flow of hydraulic fluid to the device to be operated and the smaller end of this abutment. Thus, a hydraulic fluid under pressure is obtained for operating a device and for effecting a self-lapping operation, the degree of this hydraulic pressure being variable in accordance with the ratio of the areas of the opposite ends of a differential-type abutment.

摘要： A hydrotherapeutic apparatus for use with a bathtub and the like comprising a plurality of telescoping tubes having an outlet to provide a snorkel. The tubes are movable between an extended position and an elevated position, wherein the outlet is spaced above the water-line of the tub to provide an efficient device which may be raised easily to prevent clogging of the snorkel when the apparatus is not in use and to allow the entire space within the tub to be used for conventional bathing. The apparatus further includes a drain, conduit means connecting the snorkel with the drain, and a pump in the conduit means for withdrawing water from the bathtub and for ejecting it under pressure from the outlet. Air-regulating means are provided for varying the whirlpool action of the circulating water.
