摘要： A telescopic ball-point pen includes a tubular body, including a sliding axial tube, which in turn includes a refill tank. An interior surface of the body and an exterior surface of the sliding axial tube are threaded to form a driver screw portion, and an interior surface of the sliding axial tube and an exterior surface of the refill tank are threaded to form a follower screw portion. A pitch of the follower screw portion is greater than that of the driver screw portion so that the amount of front-and-back movement of the refill tank is greater than that of the sliding axial tube per rotation. A rear end of the sliding axial tube is fixed to a sheath. When the sheath and the body are rotated, the tip of a ball-point pen refill removably received within the refill tank is projected beyond, or received within, the pen.

摘要： Capless retractable sealed marking instruments have a single piece elastomeric seal incorporated in a marker casing. The seal includes an annular rim and a concave disk with cooperative sealing disk halves having lateral sealing surfaces which are moved out of contact by a linearly advanced marker nib to open the seal for extension of the marker nib. The concave configuration of the disk provides maximum sealing force between the lateral sealing surfaces of the disk halves. Retraction of the marker nib draws the disk halves back into the concave sealed configuration to protect the marker nib and cartridge from atmospheric degradation.

摘要： A writing instrument includes a tubular body, a guide sleeve, an outer sleeve, and a holder. The outer sleeve includes at least one groove on an inner surface thereof, and the guide sleeve includes at least one rib on a forward portion thereof to engage the groove of the outer sleeve. An inclined surface continuously inclining relative to the axial direction of the outer sleeve is formed at a rearward end portion of either side wall of the groove such that a width of the groove becomes wider in a direction of the rearward end. An inclined surface continuously inclining relative to the axial direction of the outer sleeve is formed at a forward end portion of either side wall of the rib such that a width of the rib becomes smaller in a direction of the forward end. An inclined angle of the inclined surface of the groove is not less than that of the inclined surface of the rib.

摘要： A stick-shaped material propelling container is comprised of a tubular body provided with a spiral groove in the inside thereof a guide sleeve inserted into the tubular body that is not movable in an axial direction but rotatable relative to the tubular body, and which is provided with guide grooves extending in the axial direction. A holder for holding stick-shaped material, is provided with projections to engage the spiral groove, so that a stick-shaped material held in the holder can be selectively extended from or retracted into the stick-shaped material propelling container. The stick-shaped material propelling container further includes a slit formed in the axial direction through a side wall portion of the holder where there are no projections.

摘要： A liquid applicator structure which has an application tip fixed to front end of a cylindrical body and a liquid supply assembly built in its rear end. The liquid supply assembly includes a rotatable rod composed of a cylindrical shank-and-operating end and a solid rod having male threads thereon. The rotatable rod is held with an anti-rotation member having a cantilever-like extension. A split slide member having two split extensions is engaged with the rotatable rod at its rear end. One of these split extensions is inserted within the cantilever-like extension of the anti-rotation member and the rotatable rod, thereby preventing the split slide member from rotating. A piston member abuts on the split slide member. Rotation of the rotatable rod causes the split slide member and the piston to advance and drive liquid toward the application tip.

摘要： A mechanical pencil including a main body divided into first and second members which are rotatable relative to one another. An inner mechanism is provided, primarily in the first member of the body, including a chuck for gripping leads, a chuck tightening member for tightening the chuck disposed around the chuck, a chuck tightening member receiver, and a lead case coupled at a front end portion to the chuck. In a preferred embodiment, a push member is coupled at a front end to the lead case while a spring biases the inner mechanism rearwardly. A mechanism is provided for converting the relative rotation of the first and second members to axial movement of the inner mechanism between retracted and writing positions.

摘要： The present disclosure provides an integrant drive member for converting oscillating to reciprocating motion in a hand-held implement of the type having an elongate housing with an axially oscillable cap and a longitudinally reciprocal unit. The drive member comprises a pair of coaxial sleeve sections connected by a pair of links. One sleeve section is oscillable conjointly with the cap and the other is reciprocal conjointly with the unit. The links are pivoted at points defined by thin flexible webs formed at generally diametrically opposed positions on contiguous surfaces of the sleeve sections. Upon conjoint oscillation of the cap and the one sleeve section, the links swivel on the webs around the pivot points between folded and erect positions and reciprocate the other sleeve section and unit conjointly between retracted and extended positions.

摘要： A mechanical pencil having a main hollow body including a first body member and a second body member with a mouth opening at an end and the first body member being rotatable with respect to the second body member and the first and second body members engaged with each other. A slider is retractable from the opening of the main hollow body and has a lead retainer for frictionally gripping lead and a lead case containing extra leads therein is disposed to the rear and is so biased. A lead gripping chuck is connected at the rear end thereof to said lead case and chuck tightening mechanism receives and tightens the chuck and advancing the chuck relative to the mechanism to supply a new lead having a predetermined length from the opening of the slider. The rotational movement of the first body member is transferred to reciprocating movement of the chuck tightening mechanism so that a new lead is supplied from the opening of the main hollow body by the rotation of the first body member.
