An inductor current emulator is configured to adjust at least one parameter for changing a current peak value of the inductor element in response to a change in a level of the input voltage and is configured to generate an internal voltage based on the at least one parameter, which is adjusted. The inductor current emulator is configured to generate a control signal for controlling the switching operation such that current of the inductor element has a pattern corresponding to a pattern of the internal voltage.

    摘要: A time signal generating circuit of a power converter and a control method thereof are provided. The time signal generating circuit includes a reference frequency generating circuit, an on-time circuit and a frequency tracking circuit. The reference frequency generating circuit provides a reference frequency signal. The on-time circuit provides an on-time signal according to a first reference signal and a second reference signal. The second reference signal is related to an output voltage of the power converter. The frequency tracking circuit is coupled to the reference frequency generating circuit and the on-time circuit, and compares frequencies of the reference frequency signal and the on-time signal within a default time to generate a tracking signal. The on-time circuit adjusts the second reference signal according to the tracking signal, so that the on-time circuit adjusts the frequency of the on-time signal.

    摘要: An interleaved power converter includes a control circuit and multiple phase-shifted subconverters each having at least one power switch. The control circuit is coupled to the subconverters for controlling the power switches to balance currents in the subconverters over multiple periods. The control circuit includes a current compensator configured to determine a first duty cycle multiple times over the multiple periods, generate a PWM control signal having a present value of the first duty cycle for controlling the power switch of one of the subconverters during a period, determine a second duty cycle based on the present value of the first duty cycle and a previous value of the first duty cycle, and generate another PWM control signal having the second duty cycle for controlling the power switch of another one of the subconverters during the period. Other example power converters and control circuits are also disclosed.

    摘要: In some examples, an apparatus comprises a switching regulator circuit, an output circuit, a duty cycle comparison circuit, a current comparison circuit, and a switching regulator control circuit. The switching regulator circuit switches between first and second voltages. The output circuit has a voltage input and a voltage output and generates a signal based on the first and second voltages. The duty cycle comparison circuit asserts a first signal responsive to a voltage at the voltage output exceeding a product of a multiplier and a reference signal. The current comparison circuit asserts a second signal responsive to a voltage at the voltage input exceeding a first reference voltage and to assert a third signal responsive to the voltage at the voltage input being below a second reference voltage. The switching regulator control circuit controls the switching regulator circuit based on the first, the second, and the third signals.
