    摘要: A seal ring of an on-off valve of a pipe coupling is prevented from separating from the on-off valve even when a fluid flows at high speed around the seal ring. When an on-off valve 26 is in the closed position, a seal ring 50 is sealingly engaged under pressure with an annular valve seat surface 34. A forward annular valve surface portion 52 located forward of the seal ring and a rear annular valve surface portion 54 at the rear of the seal ring respectively have a forward annular passage limiting portion 56 and a rear annular passage limiting portion 58 that are adapted to be in contact with or close proximity to the annular valve seat surface. During the period from when the on-off valve starts to move from the closed position (FIG. 4) toward the open position (FIG. 7) until the seal ring 50 has separated from the annular valve seat surface by a predetermined distance, the forward annular passage limiting portion 56 and the rear annular passage limiting portion 58 are moved while keeping in contact with or close proximity to the annular valve seat surface 34.

    摘要: A female or male coupler of a pipe coupling comprises a valve which is located in a fluid passage and is axially movable therein. The valve has a valve head which is provided with a sealing ring to be engaged with and disengaged from a valve seat formed on a wall surface defining the fluid passage of the coupler. The sealing ring is installed in an annular groove formed in the valve head. The bottom, or vicinity thereof, of the annular groove, which is isolated from the outside or the fluid passage by the sealing ring, is fluidly communicated with the exterior surface of the valve via a communication passage formed in the valve. As a result, even if a sudden large decrease in pressure is generated in the fluid passage, a pressure in the bottom, or the vicinity thereof, of the annular groove equalizes with the pressure in the fluid passage.

    摘要: A female coupler and a male coupler of a pipe coupling that are easy to assemble and have a minimized passage resistance are provided. The female coupler includes a cylindrical female coupler body adapted to receive the male coupler from a front end opening thereof. A pipe connection adapter has a cylindrical connecting portion that is inserted into the female coupler body from a rear end opening thereof, and is thus connected to the female coupler body. The pipe connection adapter has two support legs extending from the front end surface of the cylindrical connecting portion. A valve support ring is secured to the distal ends of the support legs. The valve support ring has an outer circumferential surface that has a diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the cylindrical connecting portion, whereby a fluid passage is defined between the outer circumferential surface of the support ring and the wall surface of the through-hole of the female coupler body. The support legs are connected to the valve support ring at the rear end surface thereof. The male coupler has an arrangement similar to the above.

    摘要: When a start SW 3 is pressed, a one-shot multivibrator circuit 15 turns on and releases a pulse. The pulse is transmitted to a self-hold circuit 16 which in turn stays in self-hold mode and releases an H level output continuously until it is reset. This cause a transistor 17 to turn on and actuate a ram downward movement relay R1. When the ram arrives at the lower limit of its movement, a lower LS 4 is opened causing a self-hold circuit 21 to produce an H level signal in accordance with an output of a one-shot multivibrator 18. The H level signal from the self-hold circuit 21 is delayed by a delay circuit 22 and turns on a transistor 23. As the result, a ram upward movement relay R2 is actuated. Because of the function of the one-shot multivibrator circuit 15, the ram will not restart when the start SW 3 is continuously depressed. The delay circuit 22 contributes to the longer operational life of a directional valve switching mechanism. Also, a combination of another delay circuit 19 and a logical product circuit 24 is provided for preventing any fault action derived from chattering of the lower LS 4.
