摘要: A fluidic cassette detection mechanism is used for detecting the presence of a cassette at a certain position within a fluidic module. When the cassette is inserted into the fluidic module to a certain position and orientation, the detector mechanism senses the presence of the fluidic cassette and provides an appropriate signal to the system software. The system software can then command the closing of the mechanism, which holds the cassette during a procedure. The fluidic cassette detector mechanism can comprise a number of mechanical probes, optical interrupt switches, and miscellaneous components including springs and screws. The probes extend beyond the face of the fluidic module faceplate and beyond the rear stops of the clamps. When the fluidic cassette is inserted into the fluidic module far enough to sufficiently move the probes, the probes trip the switches to signal that the cassette is in the correct position and orientation for the clamping motion to begin. The correct position and orientation are sensed due to the use of probes in the mechanism. The probes are spaced sufficiently apart on a diagonal, and raised beyond the rear stops of the cassette clamps, such that when both probes are moved appropriately, the cassette must be acceptably parallel to the clamps, and in the correct position, for the cassette clamping motion to begin.

摘要: The present invention provides a height-adjustment mechanism for an armrest. In an embodiment, a height-adjustment mechanism for an armrest includes an integral one-piece leverage body, and an integral one-piece sleeve. In an embodiment, the integral one-piece sleeve has pivot seats formed on a pair of locking arms depending from a first wall of the sleeve. These parts may be made of low cost materials suitable for integrally forming their features in an injection-moulding operation. Various features built into these parts may provide a user with a sense of quality.

摘要: The invention provides methods, kits and materials for determinining simultaneously signature sequences of a population of tagged polynucleotides. Size ladders of polynucleotide fragments are generated from the population of tagged polynucleotides that contain a plurality of size classes. After the size classes are separated, tags of the separated fragment are copied and labeled according to the identity of one or more bases at the ends of the fragments. In a preferred embodiment, the labeled tags are then specifically hybridized to plurality of identical microarrays of tag complements such that the tags from different size classes are hybridized to separate microarrays. Signature sequences are determined by signals generated at hybridization sites having the same address on each of the plurality of microarrays.

摘要: A pure vacuum swing adsorption/desorption system and method, wherein supplied air feedstock gas is consistently separated to obtain a high-purity oxygen end-product gas mixture, is described. The system and method separate high-purity oxygen product from air by sequenced adsorption and desorption operations occurring exclusively under vacuum pressure conditions. This allows for greatly reduced kilowatt-hours of electric-power consumption per oxygen ton produced.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a storage system (10) including at least two tape libraries (11) and a transport mechanism (22) for transferring cartridges (20) between the tape libraries (11). The transport mechanism (22) includes a frame (64), a transporter (68) and a mover (66). The transporter (68) is sized and shaped to retain the cartridge (20). The mover (66) moves the transporter (68) along the frame (64). Additionally, the mover (66) pivots at least a portion of the transporter (68) between a first, almost horizontal, load/unload position (70A), a transport position (72) and a second, almost horizontal load/unload position (70B) during movement between the tape libraries (11). Further, the transport mechanism (22) includes a latch (140) that selectively retains the cartridge (20) in the transporter (68) during movement between the tape libraries (11). With this design, the transport mechanism (22) can reliably transfer one or more of cartridges (20) between tape libraries (11), through a relatively narrow opening, without interrupting the operation of the tape libraries (11).

摘要: A method of operating an electronic control module disposed on a vehicle and operative to record in a memory a plurality of data items among a plurality of pages, and a computer program for execution by the electronic control module are disclosed. The plurality of data items include at least one event item and at least one accumulation item for the vehicle. In operation, recording of the at least one event item is disabled in a selected page of a plurality of pages in response to receiving a stop recording page signal associated with the selected page. All event items and all accumulation items for the selected page are then erased to eliminate historical data. Subsequent accumulation items may then be recorded in the selected page. Synchronization of the accumulation items and event items is re-established by erasing all historical accumulation items from the selected page when the selected page recording is reenabled.
