Abstract:
A pulse width modulator includes a discrete time oscillator, a data storage device, a data processing block, a counter, and a comparator. The discrete time oscillator generates a first address of bits used by the data processing block for reading first data from the data storage device. The data processing block generates second data from the first data and at least one bit of the first address bits. The comparator generates a pulse width modulation signal by comparing the second data and a digital count generated by the counter.
Abstract:
In receiving information on an item by use of electromagnetic waves propagating from the item in which a radio frequency identification (RFID) chip is embedded, a portable handset requests the information on the item that is stored in the RFID chip to the RFID chip-embedded item, receives from the item the information on the item, and, if additional information is needed other than the received information, requests the additional information to a server storing the information on the item by using the received information.
Abstract:
A radio frequency identification (RFID) tag capable of improving convenience of a user and a method of driving the RFID tag are provided. The RFID tag includes a displaying unit displaying tag data indicating a current state of the RFID tag. The displaying unit displays the tag data even when the RFID tag does not exist in a read range of the RFID reader. Thus, a user can recognize the current state of the RFID tag without using the RFID reader.
Abstract:
A radio frequency identification reader and a radio frequency identification tag that use an ultrahigh frequency band, and action methods of the radio frequency identification reader and the radio frequency identification tag. The radio frequency identification reader includes: a data generator generating data to be transmitted to a radio frequency identification tag; if a command to control the radio frequency identification tag has to be authenticated, a reader controller controlling the data generator to generate the data including an authentication code; and a reader transmitter transmitting the data to the radio frequency identification tag. As a result, securing of communications of a specific command between the radio frequency identification reader and the radio frequency identification tag can be reinforced.
Abstract:
An ultra low power oscillator includes a current supply unit converting current supplied from an external bias power source into first and second low currents of predetermined amounts, and an oscillation unit oscillating and creating a predetermined frequency signal if the first and second low currents are supplied from the current supply unit. The oscillation unit includes a plurality of inverters connected in series, and the current supply unit includes a current limit circuit composed of NMOS and PMOS transistors connected to the respective inverters. The current flowing when the transistors in the respective inverters are simultaneously turned on is limited, and thus the power consumption can be reduced.
Abstract:
A voltage transform circuit transforms a transferred voltage to a desired magnitude of voltage. The voltage transform circuit includes: a first power supply unit for providing a digital voltage (Vdd-1) of a first magnitude; a second power supply unit for providing an analog voltage (Vaa-2) of a second magnitude; and a voltage transform unit formed with a plurality of MOS transistors, wherein the MOS transistors operate to transfer the digital voltage (Vdd-1) from the first power supply unit, and output a digital voltage (Vdd-3) of a third magnitude corresponding to the analog voltage (Vaa-2) transferred from the second power supply unit. By using an analog voltage (Vaa-2) that is higher than the digital voltage (Vdd-1), it becomes possible to increase the magnitude of the output digital voltage (Vdd-3). By supplying this high digital voltage (Vdd-3) to a charge pump, the level of the charge pump is lowered.

Abstract:
Disclosed is a light device comprising: a diffusion unit for diffusing and radiating light incident from a light source; and a condensing unit installed on a light radiating surface of the diffusion unit, including a micro lens array of lenses having sag determined depending on one of a light emitting area of the lighting device and total light flux of the lighting device. Thus, the lighting device can reduce a light flux emitted at the angle between 65 deg and 90 deg, thereby meeting UGR conditions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a backlight unit with sag control patterns, comprising a light source formed in a side surface of a light guide plate; and a plurality of optical patterns formed on a lower surface of the light guide plate, sag of the plurality of optical patterns increasing as the optical patterns become more distant from the light source. By controlling sag of optical patterns formed in a light guide plate, efficiency of light emitted from a backlight unit can be improved and uniformity of the light can be maintained. Also, since sag of optical patterns can be controlled, by increasing the number of optical patterns (by improving fill factor), light efficiency and uniformity can be controlled easily. Also, compared with a conventional method for manufacturing white dot patterns, white dot patterns can be more efficiently manufactured in terms of development time and costs.
