A device for receiving broadcast signal is disclosed. More specifically, the device includes an user interface (132) configured to provide at least one command signal for selecting a data broadcast signal which has been selected by a user and for selecting an audio, a controller (100) configured to provide control signals according to the command signal inputted via the user interface (132), a tuner (102) configured to synchronize at least one transmit stream (TS) of the selected data broadcast channel according to the control signal, a TS unit (104) configured to convert the at least one TS into at least one of a plurality of audible signals for video, a plurality of audible audio signals for data, a plurality of displayable video signals, and a plurality of displayable data signals (200), an audio switch configured to output any one of the plurality of audible audio signals for video or the plurality of audible audio signals for data according to the control signal, a display module (138) configured to display at least one of the video and the data on a same screen, and at least one speaker (137) configured to output audible audio outputted from the audio switch.

The image transmission system includes: an uploading unit for inputting reservation request information for reservation of image transmission and uploading an image; and a server for storing the reservation request information and the image and transmitting the image to one or more recipients' display devices according to the reservation request information.

A handling system for an in-core detector thimble tube of a reactor is disclosed. The handling system serves to withdraw and retract a thimble tube so as to provide a movement path of a movable detector used to measure a neutron flux within a reactor. For this, the handling system basically includes a thimble tube withdrawing/retracting device, which grips the thimble tube using a plurality of synthetic resin pinch rollers to withdraw and retract the thimble tube without any damage to the thimble tube, a thimble tube tensioning device, which applies a constant tensile force to the thimble tube to prevent the thimble tube from shaking or bending upon withdrawing/retracting operations, and a thimble tube platform, which temporarily keeps the withdrawn thimble tube at a fixed position without a risk of shaking of the thimble tube and provides a movement path of the thimble tube tensioning device. With automatic withdrawal/retraction of the thimble tube without damage provides advantages of an extended thimble tube exchange interval, improved safety of system facilities, reduced labor costs and working time, and reduced worker radiation exposure, shortened precaution/maintenance period, and enhanced reactor use efficiency.

A method of a union remote controller and a union remote controller information providing system and a method for operating the same is disclosed, in which various electronic apparatuses are controlled just by downloading simple remote controller information regardless of whether an electronic apparatus is on the market, kinds, manufacture companies, and model names. The union remote controller includes a data base for storing remote controller information correspondingly to manufacture companies and models; and a server for operating an Internet site which obtains remote controller information provided from manufacture companies of each electronic apparatus, stores them in a data base, and provides remote controller information according to a user's request. Since it is possible to control multiple electronic apparatuses with one remote controller, and it is also possible to control products which will be on the market later by simply downloading data, there is no temporal and economical inconvenience for a user to maintain a number of remote controllers.

Disclosed is a learning data base building method which can achieve data update in an optimum memory size and simultaneously build a systematic data configuration. Moreover, a video apparatus having a learning function and learning function control method therefor which can provide systematic, simple and effective learning by using a learning data base. The learning data base building method includes the steps of arranging vocabulary data in order of frequency in use thereof, grouping the arranged vocabulary data classified by subjects, and producing index for reading in consecutive order the groups of the vocabulary data classified by subjects.

A TV program usage information setting method and apparatus using the same which simply reserve information of a specific TV program which is periodically broadcasted on certain day and time and selectively or automatically receives and shows the TV program when it becomes the certain day and time which have been reserved. According to the present invention, usage information, such as broadcasting day and time, channel, volume and screen size, related to a specific TV program is stored by pressing a usage key when the specific TV program which is periodically or recurringly broadcasted is shown on a TV set, and the specific TV program is automatically and recurringly broadcasted in accordance with the stored usage information when the stored day and time are identical to the current day and time.

An apparatus and method for guiding broadcasting information of a TV is disclosed, in which various and detailed information is provided to permit a user to easily identify a program and fulfill the user's visual desire. The method for guiding broadcasting information of a TV includes the steps of displaying a program table for each broadcasting station and each time in accordance with a broadcasting guide key input by a user, displaying both a PIP video of a current broadcasting program in a channel selected by the user from the program table and one of a PIP video of a previous broadcasting program in the same channel, a PIP video of a next program in the same channel, and PIP videos of previous and next programs in the same channel, and displaying both a PIP video of a broadcasting program in a channel selected by the user from the program table and one of a PIP video of a broadcasting program in an upper channel at equal time, a PIP video of a broadcasting program in a lower channel at equal time, and PIP videos of broadcasting programs in the upper and lower channels at equal time. Thus, it is possible to fulfill a visual desire of the user. Also, the user can easily recognize the program. Furthermore, since the user can select its desired program and view it on a broadcasting information guide screen, convenience can be given to the user.
