    Abstract: An assembly creates annular voids in concrete around the distal end of cylindrical tubes. A cap has a flat top and a cylindrical, depending skirt. An annular, foam plug extends between the inside of the skirt and the outer diameter of the tube. The plug has an undeformed inner diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the tube to create an interference fit around the tube and keep concrete out when the cap is on the end of the tube. The plug has a radial thickness of 0.3 to 1 inch, and has an axial length of 1 to 3 inches, with a bottom of the plug located at a bottom of the skirt. The cap is glued to the end of the tube for pressure testing. After the tube is entrained in concrete, the cap and plug are removed to leave a void in the concrete surface.

    Abstract: A tubular fire stop assembly for a poured concrete structure defines at least a portion of a passage through the structure during use. The assembly has a base with a tubular sleeve, both encircling and extending along the passage. A fire ring is connected to the base and has a plate with a central opening encircling the passage. An intumescent ring has inner and outer sidewalls and opposing top and bottom walls. The intumescent ring is inside the base, encircles the passage and rests on the fire ring plate. A woven, galvanized wire mesh casing extends along the inner and outer sidewalls and the top wall of the intumescent ring.

    Abstract: A no-hub connector has a tubular gasket enclosed by a tubular shield and includes two end clamps and two intermediate clamps to tighten the connector around the ends of two pipe sections joined by the connector. Axially extending straps are fastened to each ring clamp, and fastened to the shield at the location of each ring clamp encircling the shield. An inward facing shield surface has optional gripping projections and the shield may optionally extend axially past the intermediate clamps to the end clamps. The inward facing surface of the end clamps may have optional gripping projections if the shield does not extend axially to the end clamps.

    Abstract: A fitting includes at least one port permitting flow of fluid and a connector body to which the port is attached. The connector body has a first mating portion. The fitting additionally includes a retainer structured to engage with the connector body and having a first tapered terminal portion and a second tapered terminal portion opposed to the first tapered terminal portion. The fitting further includes a tubular member configured to be fitted into the connector body and having a second mating portion structured to receive terminal portions of the retainer and configured to align with the first mating portion, and a seal positioned within the tubular member and disposed to be flush against an inner surface of the connector body.

    Abstract: A cap for a tubular sleeve having a cylindrical wall extending along a longitudinal axis for forming a passage through a concrete structure. The sleeve has radially extending ridges separated into segments with a channel parallel to the longitudinal axis. The channel has a circumferential width W. The ridges spaced apart a distance Z along the longitudinal axis. The sleeve having an inner diameter D. The cap has a cap element and a positioning tab. The cap element has a circular outer periphery with a flat top surface and a flange having a bottom end, and the tab extends inwardly from the bottom end and has a bottom surface that is orthogonal to the longitudinal axis. The tab has an inner surface that is inclined at an acute angle to the bottom surface. The tab has a width smaller than W and an axial length smaller than Z.
