Abstract: This application relates to a leak detector device (100) for detecting an internal leak in a fluid path. The leak detector comprises a housing (110) with a flow passage (120) extending through the housing (110), one or more pairs of temperature sensors (130, 140) for detecting a temperature difference between an outside of the housing (110) and the flow passage (120), one temperature sensor of each pair being arranged towards an outer surface of the housing (110) and the other temperature sensor of the pair being arranged towards an innersurface of the housing (110) that faces the flow passage (120), and an array of electrically conductive wires (150, 160) that extend across the flow passage (120). The array of electrically conductive wires (150, 160) comprises one or more positive polarity wires and one or more negative polarity wires. The application further relates to a corresponding method of leak detection.

A gasket connection reliability evaluation system includes: a measurement value acquisition unit configured to acquire a measurement value obtained through measurement by a sensor provided in a system including piping connections with gaskets; a simulation unit configured to simulate a behavior of a fluid flowing through the system on the basis of the measurement value and calculate a state quantity relating to the fluid; a loading analysis unit configured to analyze a loading applied to each of the gaskets on the basis of the measurement value and the state quantity and calculate a connection index of the gasket; a fatigue analysis unit configured to analyze a fatigue state of the gasket on the basis of the measurement value, the state quantity, the loading applied to the gasket, and a specifications and condition of the gasket connection and calculate a deterioration index of the gasket; and a reliability evaluation unit configured to calculate a reliability of the gasket on the basis of the measurement value, the state quantity, the connection index, the deterioration index, and a predetermined reliability evaluation model.

Abstract: An integrity monitoring system for a lined pipeline is provided for monitoring the integrity of a polymer liner in a host pipe. Methods and apparatus are described by which a lined pipeline is provided with such an integrity monitoring system. Sensor cable is able to bridge a joint between sections of lined pipe, for example by routing the sensor cable across the joint via a channel in an electrofusion fitting or by connecting successive lengths of sensor cable via pass-throughs in an electrofusion fitting. Advantageously, the sensor cable is disposed within a continuous annulus between linings and host pipes, and the continuous annulus is maintained across pipe joints using electrofusion fittings.
