Abstract:
An eyewear assembly includes an outer first frame, at least one outer first lens, an inner second frame, and at least one inner second lens. The assembly includes a mechanism for holding the first frame and first lens in front of a user's face. The second frame has a mechanism for attachment to the first frame, to hold the second frame between the user's eyes and the first lens. The at least one second lens is carried by the second frame. The second frame includes a first frame portion that mounts the second lens and a second frame portion overmolded onto the first frame portion defining portions of the outside surface area of the second frame. The first frame portion is of a relatively hard material and the second frame portion is of a relatively soft material. Strap anchors include louvers for directing air at side vents of the first frame. The first frame includes a central elevated vent to distribute air over top vent openings of the first frame. Grip warts are provided on the first frame for gripping and manipulation by the user.
Abstract:
Eyewear having a curved frame includes a protruding cover lens unit. The cover lens unit can be removably attached to the curved frame to position a less curved non-prescription lens in a protruding position with respect to the curved frame, thereby creating a space within the protruding lens unit. A prescription lens is removably attached to the curved frame and disposed behind the non-prescription lens. The prescription lens extends into the space without interference with the non-prescription lens.
Abstract:
A moving target practice apparatus adapted to be used in the home or easily portable by a user, and increasing the challenge to a user by creating unpredictable and moving targets, including moving target areas disposed on the front of the apparatus comprising a series of apertures that align to create an opening at various intervals in time to receive a projectile and/or a series of moving toppling targets traveling around the apparatus which are automatically resetable to an upright position once hit by a projectile.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a structural arrangement and a method for attaching lenses to a frame of eyewear. The frame includes a major portion of substantially rigid material and a secondary portion of a softer material. A retainer is formed integrally with the secondary portion of the frame during formation of the secondary portion in a molding process in t he presence of the lens such that the retainer contacts the lens to secure the lens in attachment with the frame body of the eyewear.
Abstract:
A method for assembly of an eyewear and an eyewear structure are provided to incorporate preferred properties into the eyewear. A relatively less curved lens is encircled by a protruding rim element, thereby forming a lens unit which is removably attached to the eyewear structure. The protruding rim element has a much curved outer periphery thereof such that the relatively less curved lens can be assembled in a much curved frame structure.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and structural arrangement for permanently attaching lenses to goggles which include a shielding member contoured for shielding the eyes of a user. The attachment of the lenses to the frame structures of goggles is achieved during the formation of the frame structures. A variety of engaging structures between the lenses and a frame body can be formed together with the formation of the frame structure in a plastic formation molding procedure.
Abstract:
A method for assembly of an eyewear and an eyewear structure are provided to incorporate preferred properties into the eyewear. A lens is encircled by a rim element having the preferred properties thereby forming a lens unit which is removably attached to the eyewear structure. Therefore, the lens can be better retained within the eyewear structure. Such lens units can be made interchangeable one to another, and with a variety of individual properties such that replacement of the lens unit attached to the eyewear structure with a selected one of the interchangeable lens units, will change the properties of the eyewear as per user's preferences.
