Abstract:
A system and method for sharing files via an Internet file system is presented. In one embodiment, an internet file system is configured when a user accesses a server that is configured with an application that creates the internet file system for the user. A directory stores a home folder of the user, where folders and files in the home folder are available at a root of the internet file system. The application provides a first folder and a second folder in a root of the home folder. The first folder contains folders that represent folders and files that have been shared with the user, and the second folder contains objects of the user and communities that are of interest to the user. The application further creates an auxiliary class containing a first attribute, a second attribute, and a third attribute. The first attribute is used to quickly find other users that the folders and the files in the home folder have been shared with, the second attribute is used to store names of the other users and a path of the folders and the files that have been shared with the user, and the third attribute is used to allow the user and other users with common interests to share folders and files of the common interest.
Abstract:
Footwear includes an insole of low density polyurethane and an integral border for attaching the insole to the upper and having an integral support surface for attaching a steel shank. The footwear includes the insole and two contiguous cushioning layers.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a holding device for holding two rotary members relative to one another. The device has two holding members and a connecting member to which the holding members may be clamped by respective clamps. One of the holding members may be selectively positioned along the connecting member and clamped thereto at selected distances from the other holding member.
Abstract:
A method and framework for dynamically aggregating data and functionality to runtime objects in order to increase component reuse and ease integration of disparate objects are presented. The present invention makes possible the reuse and integration of virtually any runtime object without consideration of the platform for which the component was originally created. Runtime aggregation of inheritance, fields, functions, and types is presented. Also, methods presented include: Inheritance, data, and method “eclipsing”; Runtime instantiation on an “as needed” basis; Dynamic runtime transformation of objects; and Aggregation design time cuing.
Abstract:
A method of manufacture of footwear and the footwear comprising the steps of providing a last with an upper thereon, providing a mold insert on the bottom of the last, providing a mold having a mold cavity for a tread sole, disposing the last and upper against the mold with the mold insert disposed within the mold cavity, forming a sole in the mold cavity having a depression therein in the shape of the mold insert, providing an insole with a first portion in the shape of the depression and a second portion substantially in the shape of the sole and securing the first portion of the insole in the depression. The tread sole and insole are formed of materials preferably having different physical properties. The tread sole can include one of tongues and grooves and the insole would then have the other of tongues and grooves, said tongues and grooves mating with each other. The step of providing an insole can include removing the mold insert from the mold cavity, disposing the last spaced from the tread sole and then forming the insole in the cavity formed by the removal of the weight relief and the spacing of the last from the tread sole.
Abstract:
This invention is directed to mutant SPE-C toxins or fragments thereof, vaccine and pharmaceutical compositions, and methods of using the vaccine and pharmaceutical compositions. The preferred SPE-C toxin has at least one amino acid change and is substantially non-lethal compared with the wild type SPE-C toxin. The mutant SPE-C toxins can form vaccine compositions useful to protect animals against the biological activities of wild type SPE-C toxin.
Abstract:
An attachment (3) for a vacuum gun (2), for evacuating and containing a fluid from a reservoir of fluid, such as brake fluid from a brake system. The attachment (3) has a body (21, 25) with an inlet (22) for the fluid and an outlet (24) that may be sealingly attached to a front end of a gun (2). The attachment (3) also has a coupling (26), a container (27) which is releasably attachable to the coupling (26), a first passage (33, 34) extending between the inlet (22) and the container (27), a second passage (35, 36) extending between the container (27) and the outlet (24), and a tap (70) which may be moved to either close or open the said passages (33, 34, 35, 36). In use, the gun (2) generates a vacuum within the attachment (3) and when the tap (70) is in the open position, the fluid may be collected within the container (27). A float valve (83) within the second passage (35) ensures that the container (27) cannot overfill with fluid.
Abstract:
A rake made of a first rake part having a handle and a first rake head section connected to one end of the handle, and a second rake part having a second rake head section. The section rake part is detachably connected to the first rake part in a manner to have the first and second rake head sections form a full rake head. The second rake part is detachable from the first rake part for use alone, or with the first rake part to grasp a pile of debris.
