Abstract: According to an aspect, a display apparatus includes: a substrate; a plurality of pixel electrodes provided in a display area; a plurality of switching elements coupled to the respective pixel electrodes; a plurality of first electrodes provided between semiconductors of the switching elements and the substrate in a direction orthogonal to the substrate and extending in a first direction; a plurality of signal lines coupled to the switching elements and extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction; a coupling member provided in a peripheral area outside the display area and configured to couple ends of the first electrodes to each other; and a drive circuit configured to output a first drive signal to the first electrodes or the signal lines during a first sensing period in which an electromagnetic induction method is used.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device includes: a first substrate; a second substrate facing the first substrate; a display function layer between the first substrate and the second substrate and displaying an image; first electrodes in a detection region of the first substrate; second electrodes in the detection region above the second substrate; a first electrode selection circuit in a peripheral region outside the detection region of the first substrate; and a second electrode selection circuit in a region overlapping with the peripheral region above the second substrate. The second electrode selection circuit selects some of the second electrodes on the basis of a certain code, and couples the selected second electrodes to a single output signal line.

Abstract: A liquid crystal includes first and second substrates, the first substrate including intersecting data lines and scan lines. A liquid crystal layer is sandwiched therebetween. Also, a plurality of sub-pixels districted by data lines and gate lines, and arranged along the long-axis and the short-axis directions in a matrix. A pixel electrode in the sub-pixels includes a central portion. A common electrode including linear electrodes arranged along the data lines and disposed with gaps therebetween. Sub-pixels are bent at the center portion, such that the linear electrodes or the gaps in both sides of the sub-pixels are inclined in opposite directions with respect to the long-axis direction. At least one of the linear electrodes or at least one of the gaps has a bent portion at the central portion of the respective pixel electrode. The common electrode is provided on liquid crystal layer side over the pixel electrode.

At least in an overlapping area where the adhesion layer covers the coating layer, an area of the metal material per unit area is smaller than that of the other area of the terminal.
