摘要: System and techniques for container provisioning are described herein. A request to instantiate a container image may be made. This request specifies a name for the container image where the name is created through a first defined generation process applied to contents of the container image. A container manifest may be received from a local copy of a distributed container directory. The container manifest includes a set of entries for container layer images of the container image. Here, the set of entries are named by a second defined generation process applied to respective container layer images. Then, container layer images may be retrieved using names from the set of entries and the container image instantiated using the retrieved container layer images.

摘要: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for peer-assisted safety models for autonomous and assisted-driving vehicles. In an embodiment, a safety-model service receives a safety-model request for a safety model from a target vehicle. The safety-model service identifies, responsive to receiving the safety-model request, one or more source vehicles as safety-model input sources. The safety-model service receives safety-model data associated with the identified one or more source vehicles. The safety-model service generates, based on the safety-model request and the received safety-model data, a target-vehicle safety model for the target vehicle. The safety-model service transmits the target-vehicle safety model to the target vehicle for use by the target vehicle.

摘要: In function-as-a-service (FaaS) environments, a client makes use of a function executing within a trusted execution environment (TEE) on a FaaS server. Multiple tenants of the FaaS platform may provide functions to be executed by the FaaS platform via a gateway. Each tenant may provide code and data for any number of functions to be executed within any number of TEEs on the FaaS platform and accessed via the gateway. Additionally, each tenant may provide code and data for a single surrogate attester TEE. The client devices of the tenant use the surrogate attester TEE to attest each of the other TEEs of the tenant and establish trust with the functions in those TEEs. Once the functions have been attested, the client devices have confidence that the other TEEs of the tenant are running on the same platform as the gateway.

摘要: A computer system having data organized in files, having a secondary storage for storing files, having a primary storage, and having one or more types of file subsystems (file system implementations) for controlling transfer of files between primary storage and secondary storage. A subset of writes to secondary storage are performed using a Delayed Ordered Write (DOW) subsystem, which makes it possible for any file system to control the order in which modifications are propagated to disk. The DOW subsystem consists of two parts. The first part is a specification interface, which a file system implementation or any other kernel subsystem can use to indicate sequential ordering between a modification and some other modification of file system structural data. The second part of DOW subsystem is a mechanism that ensures that the disk write operations are indeed performed in accordance with the order store. DOW improves computer system performance by reducing disk traffic as well as the number of context switches that would be generated if synchronous writes were used for ordering.
