摘要: An apparatus includes an x-ray source (112) that generates transmission radiation that traverses an examination region (108) and a detector (116) that includes a photo-converter (204) that detects the radiation and generates a signal indicative thereof. The photo-converter (204) includes a light receiving region (260) on a back side (264). The light receiving region receives light indicative of the detected radiation. The photo-converter (204) further includes read-out electronics (240) within a front side (228), which is located opposite the back side (264). The read-out electronics (240) process a photo-current indicative of the received light to generate the signal indicative of the detected radiation. The photo-converter (204) further includes a photodiode (208, 212, 232) disposed between the light receiving region (260) and the read-out electronics (240). The photodiode (212) produces the photo-current. A reconstructor (128) reconstructs the signal to generate image data indicative of the examination region (108).

摘要: Data transmission in a telecommunication system may become critical if too many data packets of the same logical channel are contained in a single container which gets lost. According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, this problem may be circumvented by accommodating only a maximum number of data packets of the same logical channel to a single container. Advantageously, this may allow for a stable and efficient transmission.

摘要: The invention relates to a wireless network comprising a radio network controller and a plurality of assigned terminals, which are provided for exchanging data according to the hybrid ARQ method of type II or III and each form a receiving and/or transmitting side. A physical layer of a transmitting side is arranged for storing coded transport blocks in a memory, which blocks contain at least a packet data unit delivered by the assigned radio link control layer and can be identified by a packet data unit sequence number, storing abbreviated sequence numbers whose length depends on the maximum number of coded transport blocks to be stored and which can be shown unambiguously shown in a packet data unit sequence number, and for transmitting coded transport blocks having at least the assigned abbreviated sequence numbers. a physical layer of a receiving side is provided for testing the correct reception of the coded transport block and for sending a positive acknowledge command to the transmitting side over a back channel when there is correct reception and a negative acknowledge command when there is error-affected reception.

摘要: In order to facilitate assessment of the activity of the brain by the medical practitioner, the description relates to a process for assessing electrically recorded brain activity in which a signal taken from a skull over a predetermined period at a predetermined scanning frequency is converted into a sequence of data words from which the amplitudes and the frequencies relating to each amplitude are extracted in a computer system in a predetermined pattern in such a way that intermediate data words are formed, each of which represents an amplitude and is stored under a store address determined by the frequency allocated to the intermediate data word, and those maximum intermediate data words of all of them are determined which are a relative maximum and a mean is drawn at each frequency from the maximum intermediate data words and all means with the relevant frequency are taken to a display device for representation in a frequency/amplitude curve.

摘要: A detector tile (116) of an imaging detector array (112) includes a scintillator array (202), a photosensor array (204), which includes a plurality of photosensitive pixels, optically coupled to the scintillator array (202), and a current-to-frequency (I/F) converter (302). The I/F converter (302) includes an integrator (304) that integrates charge output by a photosensitive pixel during an integration period and generates a signal indicative thereof and a comparator (310) that generates a pulse when the generated signal satisfies predetermined criteria during the integration period. A reset device (316) resets the integrator (304) in response to the comparator (310) generating a pulse. Circuitry (320, 324) samples the generated signal at a beginning of the integration period and/or at an end of the integration period and generates quantized digital data indicative thereof. Logic (322) estimates the charge at the input of the integrator (304) based on the generated digital data.

摘要: Data transmission in a multicast fashion in which retransmissions are requested by recipients sending feedback to the one sender. Receiving stations are informed about the feedback of another receiving station. This is done by mirroring the feedback of receiving stations to other receiving stations. Due to this, in case, for example, one of the mirrored feedbacks is a negative acknowledgement message, the other receiving stations are informed that it is no longer necessary to provide their feedback, since a retransmission will be initiated anyway. Advantageously, this may allow to reduce interference in the direction of the feedback.
