    摘要: A connector (1) with rear holders, which connector comprises a housing (2) having a plurality of terminal housing chambers (3), and the rear holders (20a) and (20b) which are laid across the housing (2) and temporarily and regularly retained in the housing. One of the rear holders (20a) and (20b) includes a retaining hole (22) and a retaining pawl (23). On each side of the housing exist a temporarily retaining projection (4) having a tapered surface (5) over the whole of its surface, and a tapered retaining step (6). A stooping contact face (7) is also provided on the surface of the rear end portion of the housing (2). Therefore, as the rear holders (20a) and (20b) are pivoted when the retaining holes (22) are mated with the respective temporarily retaining projections (4), the retaining pawls (23) are mated with the retaining steps (6) and the undersurfaces of the rear holders (20a) and (20b) are brought into contact with the respective contact faces (7), whereby the rear holders (20a) and (20b) are temporarily retained in the housing (2).

    摘要: In a rear holder-attached connector (1), a relatively-thick protective rib (10) with a width (B) projects outwardly from opposite sides of a housing (2), and is disposed between upper and lower terminal receiving chambers (3). This width (B) is larger than a width of rear holders (20a, 20b), and this rib (10) protects the rear holders (20a, 20b) so that these rear holders, provisionally retained on the housing (2) within a metal-mold assembly, will not be discharged from the metal-mold assembly to drop, and will not be disengaged from the housing even upon contact with another housing. The provision of the protective rib (10) also serves to provide a good flow of a resin poured from the rear side of the housing (2) during the molding operation, and therefore thin partition walls, forming the terminal receiving chambers (3), can be positively molded, thereby enhancing the yield of the molded housings.

    摘要: In a connector fitting structure, a first retaining portion is formed on an inner surface in a slider receiving portion formed in a housing of the male connector a second retaining portion is formed at an distal end of a first engagement arm of a slider. Slanting surfaces are formed on those portions of the first and second retaining portions so that said second retaining portion smoothly engages with said first retaining portion by operating an operating portion, when the fitted condition of said male and female connectors is cancelled. Further, the slider includes first and second slide members and compression springs and is mounted in the slider receiving portion. Retaining projections are formed on opposite sides of the first slide member, and slider retaining portions are formed on side surfaces of the slider receiving portion. Therefore, the retaining projections are retained by the slider retaining portions.

When the engagement-canceling tapering portion (23c) is pressed by a removal jig (25) which has been inserted in the connector housing through a jig insertion port (13e) so as to be disposed substantially in alignment with the engagement-canceling tapering portion (23c), the elastic retaining piece portion (23a) is retracted while elastically deformed in a direction causing the completely-retaining portion (23b) to be disengaged from the completely-engaging portion (13c).

    摘要: An incomplete-engagement prevention type connector assembly including male and female connectors which has an incomplete-engagement preventing function and is used, for instance, in an electrical system in an automobile. In the connector assembly, in an engaging section of the male connector an engaging member is protruded in the direction of engagement, and a flexible engaging auxiliary member is provided. The lower surface of the front end portion of the engaging auxiliary member is a sloped surface. Furthermore, in the engaging section, a pair of right and left engaging lock members are protruded. On the other hand, a sloped surface is formed on the upper surface of the housing of the female connector. Behind the sloped surface on the upper surface of the housing, provided are an engaging fixation section adapted to lock the engaging member, and disengaging members adapted to disengaged the male and female connectors from each other. The front end portions of the disengaging members are formed into hook members having tapered surfaces.

    摘要: A connector arrangement including a cam mechanism for interconnecting connector housings, in which the number of component parts is reduced and the strength is increased. The connector arrangement includes a first connector housing having a pair of support walls extending therefrom, each of the support walls having a protruding pin; a cam lever pivotally supported on each pin with the cam lever having a pair of cam grooves formed therein; a second connector including a following arm extending therefrom which includes pair of projections which are receivable in the cam grooves whereupon rotation of the cam lever causes the first and second connectors to be joined together; a temporary locking member extending from each of the support walls for retaining the cam lever in a temporary angular position at which the projections are insertable into the cam grooves; and a complete locking member extending from each of the support walls for retaining the cam lever in a completely locked angular position where the first and second connectors are completely engaged with each other. The temporary and complete locking members are integral to the support walls, respectively. The arrangement further includes rotation prevention members provided on the support walls for limiting rotation of the cam lever to a predetermined angle.
